Disclosed herein is a washing machine having a driving motor for generating a rotational force, a clutch for selectively transmitting the rotational force to the spin basket and the pulsator, a sensor and a position indicating member for detecting the rotational speed of the spin basket.

Washing machine

A washing machine includes a plurality of suspension units through which a tub is supported by a cabinet, and a stabilizer unit mounted to the tub. When horizontal vibration displacement of the tub occurs by unbalance mass during washing/dehydration processes, the washing machine limits tub displacement according to the attenuation effect caused by torsional force and bending force of the stabilizer unit, resulting in reduction of excessive vibration.

The present invention relates to a washing machine which includes a cylindrical part having a cylindrical shape and at least one balancer installed in the cylindrical part. The balancer includes a first balancer housing provided with a race in an annular shape with an open top and a second balancer housing to be coupled with the first balancer housing to cover the open top of the race. The balancer is installed in the cylindrical part in such a way that a coupling portion of the first balancer housing and the second balancer housing corresponding to an inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical part is covered by the cylindrical part, thereby reinforcing a strength of the balancer by the cylindrical part.

Balancer and washing machine including the same

A washing machine includes: a tub configured to accommodate wash water therein; a rotary tub rotatably mounted in the tub; a pulsator rotatably arranged below the rotary tub, configured to form a water current; a motor configured to provide driving power to the pulsator; and a floater configured to ascend or descend in response to a water level of the wash water in such a manner that the pulsator and the rotary tub interact with each other or the interaction therebetween is released. The pulsator includes a reinforcement rib protruding from a bottom surface of the pulsator to reinforce stiffness. The floater is connected to the reinforcement rib in a manner that the floater ascends or descends along the reinforcement rib. The washing machine can alternatively transmit the driving power of the motor only to the pulsator or to the pulsator and the rotary tub.

The dishwasher includes a sump to pump wash water, a supply pipe to which the wash water from the sump is supplied, and a nozzle assembly connected to the supply pipe. The nozzle assembly includes a lower rotor arm connected to the supply pipe, an upper rotor arm having a portion rotatably received in the lower rotor arm and having a first rotation center of an upper end thereof and a second rotation center of a lower end thereof positioned eccentrically from the first rotation center, and a nozzle rotatably connected to the upper rotor arm.

A washing machine having an improved structure which increases washing capacity without increasing the size of the washing machine. The washing machine includes a cabinet including an outer part and a cylindrical inner part connected to the outer part, a spin basket rotatably disposed in the inner part and including a bottom and a side wall extending from the bottom, a pulsator rotatably disposed in the spin basket, a motor provided under the spin basket, a clutch to selectively transmit power of the motor to the spin basket or the pulsator, a base plate to fix the clutch and the motor, and suspension members connecting the base plate to the upper portion of the cabinet. Wash water is stored within the spin basket and is not stored outside the spin basket during a washing cycle.
