A clothes dryer is provided. In the dryer, air flowing into a drying container is provided with heat from heat pump. The clothes dryer comprises a cabinet, a drying container rotationally mounted in the cabinet, a motor providing the container with rotational force, a first air path connected to a side of the container, a second air path connected to another side of the container and to the outside of the cabinet, a first heat exchanging member for the first air path, and a second heat exchanging member for the second air path. The first air path and the second air path are on the lower part of the cabinet.

The present invention discloses a data processing method for application layer based on a living network control protocol. The data processing method for application layer which is based on a predetermined protocol composed of at least a lower layer and an application layer includes the steps of: receiving a predetermined primitive from an upper application software; generating a communication cycle identifier (CycleID) according to the primitive; generating a service description according to the primitive and the communication cycle identifier (CycleID); composing an application layer protocol data unit (APDU) including the primitive; and transmitting the APDU to the lower layer.

Disclosed is a network control system for home appliances that satisfies the characteristics of low-cost and high-efficiency with respect to currently used appliances adopting a low-performance microcomputer. The system is constructed to define a master/slave type communication structure with respect to the respective appliances; construct a network by connecting the appliances through the serial communication function; and enable the appliances to communicate with one another if a predetermined communication event is produced.
