A multiple variable valve lift apparatus disposed at an intake part and an exhaust part of an engine includes: a moving cam rotating together with a camshaft, being movably disposed in an axial direction of the camshaft, and forming a plurality of cams for realizing valve lift to be different from each other and a cam guide protrusion; an operating unit selectively guiding the cam guide protrusion so as to move the moving cam in an axial direction of the camshaft; a controller controlling an operation of the operating unit; and a valve opening/closing unit opened/closed by contacting any one among the plurality of cams.

A variable valve device for an engine, may include a camshaft; a movable cam device fitted over the camshaft to be slidable in an axial direction of the camshaft, and configured such that cams with at least two different cam profiles and a guide protruding portion are disposed along the axial direction of the camshaft; at least one shaft groove linearly processed to have a predetermined cross-sectional shape in an external circumferential surface of the camshaft along the axial direction thereof; a cam groove provided in an internal circumferential surface of the movable cam device to communicate with the shaft groove; and an insertion member inserted into a communication space defined by the shaft groove and the cam groove such that a rotational displacement of the camshaft is transmitted to the movable cam device.

A multiple variable valve lift apparatus may include a moving cam formed of a hollow cylindrical shape, configured to be moveable in an axial direction of a camshaft while being rotated with the camshaft, and forming a plurality of cams implementing a cam guide protrusion device and different valve lifts from each other; an operation device selectively guiding a cam guide protrusion device to move the moving cam in the axial direction of the camshaft; a controller configured for controlling an operation of the operation device; a valve opening/closing device in contact with any one cam among the plurality of cams; a plurality of stopper grooves formed at an external circumference of the camshaft; and a stopper device provided at the moving cam and inserted to the stopper groove to be rotated at a position after the moving cam is moved.

A control method for a turbocharger system may include controlling opening levels of an intake bypass valve, an exhaust bypass valve, and a throttle valve according to a driving condition of a vehicle by a controller, and executing a series of commands by the controller, including determining whether an engine rpm satisfies a set low/medium speed condition, determining whether an acceleration request condition is satisfied when the engine rpm satisfies the set low/medium speed condition, closing the intake bypass valve, and controlling an opening angle of the exhaust bypass valve according to the acceleration request condition.

Control method for turbocharger

A cooling system of an engine may include a cylinder liner formed in a hollow cylindrical shape and pressed against an inside of a cylinder of the engine, a block coolant jacket positioned in an outer side of the cylinder liner in a radial direction to cool a cylinder block, the cylinder block provided with the cylinder liner and the block coolant jacket therein, and a cylinder head engaged on the cylinder block, including an exhaust port and an intake port fluidically-communicated with a combustion chamber and respectively formed at an exhaust side and an intake side, and provided with a head coolant jacket inside, in which the block coolant jacket includes an upper coolant jacket and a lower coolant jacket and a division wall is disposed between the upper coolant jacket and the lower coolant jacket to block fluid flow therebetween.

A vehicular exhaust device is disclosed. The vehicular exhaust device includes an exhaust pipe, which is connected at one end to an exhaust manifold of a cylinder and at the other end to a catalytic converter. In particular, an intermediate portion of the exhaust pipe is in contact with the side surface of the catalytic converter so as to heat the catalytic converter by heat of the exhaust pipe.

An engine system may include a main intake line, a supplementary intake line branched from the main intake line and joined to the main intake line, an intake bypass valve mounted to the main intake line, a main exhaust line mounted to an exhaust manifold, a supplementary exhaust line branched from the exhaust manifold and joined to the main exhaust line, an exhaust bypass valve mounted to the main exhaust line and selectively opening the main exhaust line, a turbocharger disposed adjacent to the supplementary exhaust line and operated by exhaust gas passing through the supplementary exhaust line, and a control unit for controlling the intake bypass valve and the exhaust bypass valve depending on an operation condition, wherein the exhaust gas is re-circulated from an upstream side of the exhaust bypass valve to the main intake line passing through an EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) cooler and an EGR valve.

A supercharging system for an engine includes: a cylinder block forming a combustion chamber; an intake manifold connected to the cylinder block to supply ambient air thereto; an exhaust manifold collecting exhaust gas discharged from the combustion chamber and guiding the same to the environment; a third supercharge path connecting an inlet of the intake manifold to the exhaust manifold; and an electric supercharger supplying compressed air to the exhaust manifold through the third supercharge path. Responsiveness of an engine is enhanced and stabilization of the engine is promoted.

A brake vacuum pressure forming device for a motor vehicle may include a vacuum chamber supplying a vacuum pressure boosting a break operating force, an electric supercharger connected to the vacuum chamber to supply vacuum pressure thereto, a first vacuum pressure supply path connecting the electric supercharger and the vacuum chamber, and a vacuum pressure control valve mounted on the first vacuum pressure supply path and opening and closing the first vacuum pressure supply path.

A brake negative pressure generating device of a vehicle includes: an electrically-driven supercharger for drawing in, compressing, and supplying outside air; a vacuum chamber connected to an inlet opening of the electrically-driven supercharger and supplying negative pressure for brake force boosting; a negative pressure supply passage for connecting the inlet opening of the electrically-driven supercharger and the vacuum chamber; and a first negative pressure control valve for opening and closing an inlet passage. Accordingly, the electrically-driven supercharger is run to supplement brake negative force if the brake negative force is not sufficient.
