A variable capacity rotary compressor to securely fix a clutch pin to a rotation shaft includes first and second compression chambers having different inner volumes, a rotation shaft penetrating the first and second compression chambers, first and second eccentric bushes disposed on an outer circumference of the rotation shaft, a slot provided between the first and second eccentric bushes, a clutch pin protruding from the rotation shaft and disposed in the slot, and a fixing pin coupled with the side of the clutch pin in the rotation shaft to securely fix the clutch pin to the rotation shaft. A groove having a predetermined width can be formed at a rear side of the clutch pin and a rear side of the fixing pin can be inserted into the groove to couple with the clutch pin in the rotation shaft.

Variable capacity rotary compressor

A variable capacity rotary compressor including a hermetic casing in which a housing having first and second compression chambers is installed. A compressing unit is placed in the first and second compression chambers, and is operated to execute a compression operation in either the first or second compression chamber according to a rotating direction of a rotating shaft which drives the compressing unit. The variable capacity rotary compressor also includes a first path, a second path, and a pressure control unit. The first path connects an outlet side of the rotary compressor to an inlet of the first compression chamber. The second path connects the outlet side of the rotary compressor to an inlet of the second compression chamber. The pressure controller functions to open either the first or second path, so that a pressure of the outlet side of the rotary compressor acts on the inlet of the first or second compression chamber where the idle operation is executed.

A variable capacity rotary compressor includes a hermetic casing, a housing installed in the hermetic casing to define therein first and second compression chambers having different capacities, and a compressing unit placed in the first and second compression chambers and operated to execute a compression operation in either the first or second compression chamber according to a rotating direction of a rotating shaft which drives the compressing unit. The compressor further includes a suction path controller having a hollow body and a valve unit, and a pressure controller. The hollow body has an inlet connected to a refrigerant inlet pipe, and first and second outlets formed on the hollow body at opposite ends of the hollow body to be spaced apart from the inlet of the hollow body. The valve unit is installed in the hollow body to axially reciprocate in the hollow body to change a refrigerant suction path by a pressure difference between the first and second outlets of the hollow body. The pressure controller includes a high-pressure pipe to connect an outlet side of the compressor to the suction path controller, and first and second communicating paths provided on both sides of the valve unit to be spaced apart from each other.

A variable capacity rotary compressor, including upper and lower compression chambers having different capacities, a rotating shaft passing through the upper and lower compression chambers, upper and lower eccentric cams provided on the rotating shaft, and upper and lower eccentric bushes fitted over the upper and lower eccentric cams, respectively. A slot is provided at a predetermined position between the upper and lower eccentric bushes. A locking pin, moves along the slot, to change a position of the upper or lower eccentric bush to a maximum eccentric position, and a clutch engages with the slot at a position opposite to the locking pin to thereby preventing the upper and lower eccentric bushes from slipping over the upper and lower eccentric cams, respectively.

A variable capacity rotary compressor including upper and lower compression chambers having different capacities, and a rotating shaft. Upper and lower eccentric cams are provided on the rotating shaft to be eccentric from the rotating shaft in a same direction. Upper and lower eccentric bushes are fitted over the upper and lower eccentric cams, respectively, to be eccentric from the rotating shaft in opposite directions, with a slot provided at a predetermined position between the upper and lower eccentric bushes. A locking pin functions to change a position of the upper or lower eccentric bush to a maximum eccentric position. The compressor further includes a friction unit to prevent the upper and lower eccentric bushes from slipping. The friction unit is installed at a predetermined portion of the upper eccentric cam, and applies a frictional force to the upper eccentric bush to offset a slip-rotating force of the upper eccentric bush.

A variable capacity rotary compressor to prevent eccentric bushes from rotating faster than a rotating shaft, and includes upper and lower compression chambers having different interior capacities thereof, and the rotating shaft with upper and lower eccentric cams being provided thereon to be eccentric from the rotating shaft in a common direction. Upper and lower eccentric bushes are fitted over the upper and lower eccentric cams, respectively, with a slot provided there between. A locking pin changes a position of the upper or lower eccentric bush to a maximum eccentric position. Upper and lower brake units are, respectively, provided between the upper eccentric cam and the upper eccentric bush, and between the lower eccentric cam and the lower eccentric bush. The upper and lower brake units, respectively, include first and second upper brake balls, and first and second lower brake balls, to restrain the upper and lower eccentric bushes.

A variable capacity rotary compressor including upper and lower compression chambers having different capacities, and a rotating shaft. Upper and lower eccentric cams are provided on the rotating shaft to be eccentric from the rotating shaft in a same direction. Upper and lower eccentric bushes are fitted over the upper and lower eccentric cams, respectively, to be eccentric from the rotating shaft in opposite directions, with a slot provided at a predetermined position between the upper and lower eccentric bushes. A locking pin functions to change a position of the upper or lower eccentric bush to a maximum eccentric position. A restraining unit is set along an edge of the slot to prevent the upper or lower eccentric bush from slipping. The restraining unit includes first and second elastic pieces which are respectively provided at positions adjacent to first and second ends of the slot.

A rotary compressor including upper and lower compression chambers having different interior capacities thereof, a rotating shaft having a locking hole, upper and lower eccentric cams provided on the rotating shaft to be eccentric from the rotating shaft, upper and lower eccentric bushes fitted over the upper and lower eccentric cams, respectively, and a locking pin inserted into the locking hole to change a position of the upper or lower eccentric bush to a maximum eccentric position. A slot is provided at a position between the upper and lower eccentric bushes. Further, a surface-treated part is provided around the locking hole to increase an hardness thereof, thus preventing the surrounding of the locking hole from being worn out when the locking pin collides with a first end or a second end of the slot.

A variable capacity rotary compressor includes a hermetic casing, a housing installed in the hermetic casing to define therein first and second compression chambers having different capacities, and a compressing unit placed in the first and second compression chambers and operated to execute a compression operation in either the first or second compression chamber according to a rotating direction of a rotating shaft which drives the compressing unit. The compressor further includes a suction path controller, a high-pressure pipe, and a high-pressure path controller. The suction path controller controls a refrigerant suction path so that a refrigerant is delivered into an inlet port of the first or second compression chamber where the compression operation is executed. The high-pressure pipe couples an outlet side of the compressor to the suction path controller. The high-pressure path controller is provided at a predetermined portion of the suction path controller, and controls a high-pressure path so that the high-pressure pipe communicates with the inlet port of the first or second compression chamber where an idle operation is executed, according to variance of temperature when the refrigerant suction path is controlled by the suction path controller.

A variable capacity rotary compressor including first and second compression chambers having different capacities, and a rotating shaft. First and second eccentric cams are mounted to the rotating shaft to be eccentric in a same direction. First and second eccentric bushes are fitted over the first and second eccentric cams to make an angle between eccentric lines of the first and second eccentric bushes be less than 180&#xb0;. A locking pin functions to change a position of the first or second eccentric bush to a maximum eccentric position. Further, a slot is formed on the rotating shaft between the first and second eccentric bushes. In this case, the slot having a predetermined length is formed to have a same angle as the angle between the eccentric lines of the first and second eccentric bushes. The locking pin is inserted into the slot.

A variable capacity rotary compressor including upper and lower compression chambers in which compressing operations are carried out. A slot is provided at a predetermined position between upper and lower eccentric bushes. A locking pin makes either of the upper and lower eccentric bushes be disposed at a maximum eccentric position. Since the locking pin has a diameter which is larger than a locking hole in a shaft by about 0.02 mm to 0.06 mm, the locking pin is fitted into the locking hole in a press-fit method. Further, the locking hole has a threaded part and a non-threaded part, and the locking pin has a threaded part to correspond to the threaded part of the locking hole and a non-threaded part to correspond to the non-threaded part of the locking hole.

A variable capacity rotary compressor is designed to prevent eccentric bushes from slipping during a compression operation, and thereby prevent noise from being generated and increase durability. The variable capacity rotary compressor includes a housing to define first and second compression chambers having different capacities therein. First and second eccentric cams are mounted to a rotating shaft to be placed in the first and second compression chambers, respectively. First and second eccentric bushes are rotatably fitted over the first and second eccentric cams, respectively. First and second rollers are rotatably fitted over the first and second eccentric bushes, respectively. First and second vanes partition the first and second compression chambers, respectively. A locking unit functions to make one of the first and second eccentric bushes be eccentric from the rotating shaft while making a remaining one of the first and second eccentric bushes be released from eccentricity from the rotating shaft, according to a rotating direction of the rotating shaft. A restraining unit is outwardly projected from the rotating shaft by a centrifugal force when the rotating shaft is rotated, thus restraining the first and second eccentric bushes.

A variable capacity rotary compressor including upper and lower compression chambers having different interior capacities, and a rotating shaft. Upper and lower eccentric cams are provided on the rotating shaft to be eccentric from the rotating shaft in a same direction. Upper and lower eccentric bushes are fitted over the upper and lower eccentric cams, respectively, in such a way that a maximum eccentric part of the upper eccentric bush is opposite to that of the lower eccentric bush, with a slot provided between the upper and lower eccentric bushes. A locking pin functions to change a position of the upper or lower eccentric bush to a maximum eccentric position. Further, upper and lower brake units are respectively provided between the upper eccentric cam and the upper eccentric bush, and between the lower eccentric cam and the lower eccentric bush.

A variable capacity rotary compressor including a housing to define therein two compression chambers having different capacities, a rotating shaft transmit ting a rotating force from a drive unit to the two compression chambers, two eccentric parts are provided on an outer surface of the rotating shaft to be placed in the two compression chambers, respectively. Two eccentric bushes, having different weights respectively fitted over the eccentric parts to rotate relative to the rotating shaft within predetermined angles, a pair of force transmission parts, provided on opposite sides of the eccentric unit, to receive the rotating force of the rotating shaft so that one of the two eccentric bushes rotates while being eccentric from the rotating shaft and a remaining one of the two eccentric bushes rotates while being released from eccentricity from the rotating shaft, according to a rotating direction of the rotating shaft.

A variable capacity rotary compressor is designed to prevent eccentric bushes from slipping during a compression operation, thus preventing noise from being generated and increasing durability. The compressor includes a housing to define two compression chambers having different capacities therein. A rotating shaft is rotated in the compression chambers. Two eccentric cams are mounted to the rotating shaft. Two eccentric bushes are rotatably fitted over the eccentric cams. Two rollers are rotatably fitted over the eccentric bushes. Two vanes are installed in the compression chambers to be reciprocated in a radial direction of the rotating shaft. A cylindrical connecting part integrally connects the eccentric bushes to each other, with a locking slot being provided around the connecting part. A locking pin is mounted to the rotating shaft to project from the rotating shaft, and is locked by either of opposite ends of the locking slot, according to a rotating direction of the rotating shaft, thus making one of the eccentric bushes eccentric from the rotating shaft while making a remaining one of the eccentric bushes be released from eccentricity from the rotating shaft. A restraining unit outwardly moves from the rotating shaft by a centrifugal force when the rotating shaft is rotated, to restrain the connecting part.
