A display device includes: a display panel including pixels; a first driver supplying data voltages to A pixels using first image data; a second driver supplying data voltages to B pixels smaller than the A pixels using second image data; a third driver disposed adjacent to the second driver in a first direction, the third driver supplying data voltages corresponding pixels using third image data; a first controller calculating a first load ratio of the first driver using the first image data, and a second load ratio of the second driver using the second image data; and a second controller calculating a third load ratio of the third driver using the third image data. The first controller receives the third load ratio from the second controller, and generates a first temperature profile for the first driver and the second driver using the first, the second, and the third load ratios.

Semiconductor devices having improved performance and reliability. For example, a semiconductor device may include a substrate, an active pattern extending in a first direction, on the substrate, a plurality of gate structures on the active pattern, each including a gate electrode that crosses the active pattern. A lower active contact may be connected to a source/drain pattern. A trench may expose the lower active contact, and a width of a bottom surface of the trench in the first direction may be greater than a width of an upper surface of the lower active contact in the first direction. An etching stop film may be along the bottom surface of the trench and side walls of the trench, and have an uppermost surface coplanar with an upper surface of an upper active contact that extends through the etching stop film and is connected to the lower active contact.

The present invention relates to novel modules for transferring magnetic beads, an automated system comprising the same and a method for extracting nucleic acids using the same. The specifically designed magnet module and cover module of the present invention can be employed in the automated liquid handling apparatus by means of pre-existing moving modules (e.g., pipettor module) of the apparatus. The present invention enables a bead transfer-type method for extracting nucleic acids to be performed in an automated manner on the automated liquid handling apparatus. The present invention provides advantages of higher level of automation, more reduced cost and no need for another separate liquid handling apparatus compared to the conventional bead transfer-type method usually performed in the small apparatus designed to be used only for this bead transfer-type method. Also, the present method has the merits of more shortened reaction time compared to the conventional liquid transfer-type method.

The present invention relates to a displacement-controlled earthquake-resistant transformer employing a friction damper, including: a device body; an upper frame disposed in an upper portion of the device body to fix the device body; a lower frame disposed in a lower portion of the device body to fix the device body to a base while supporting the device body; and a friction damper unit disposed between the device body and the base to interwork with the device body and the base, and configured to buffer a vibration transmitted to the device body through the base fixed to a ground surface. According to the present invention, seismic energy is absorbed by using a frictional force of a damper in the event of an earthquake, so that damage that may be caused to the transformer by an earthquake shock is prevented.
