A vehicle and a network system are capable of downloading and updating the latest software from a plurality of other vehicles that are not subject to distance restrictions during an update time in a parking or autonomous driving situation. The vehicle includes a controller and a communicator, which is configured to perform communication with a server and a plurality of other vehicles in a network. Based on a software update request of the vehicle, the controller is configured to perform a software update of the vehicle through the other vehicle in response to a determination that the number of the other vehicle having a processor corresponding to a processor included in the vehicle among the plurality of other vehicles and the other vehicle for which the software update included in a wireless network formed by the vehicle is completed is greater than a predetermined reference value.

An embodiment vehicle for performing autonomous driving includes a memory configured to store map information, a sensor configured to acquire surrounding objects information related to the vehicle, a communicator configured to communicate with a server and a surrounding vehicle, and a controller configured to form autonomous driving data for the autonomous driving of the vehicle based on the map information and data acquired through the sensor and the communicator, wherein the controller is configured to cause performance of the autonomous driving of the vehicle based on the autonomous driving data formed at a time point closest to a time point at which a failure of the sensor occurs in response to the failure of the sensor and a determination that driving of the vehicle by a driver is not available.

An aspect of the disclosure is to provide a vehicle capable of safely performing autonomous driving without user intervention through operations of control modules and communication between the control modules even in an emergency situation of an autonomous vehicle. The vehicle includes a plurality of control modules and a central processor. The central processor is configured to: in case of an emergency situation, determine a plurality of paths for each situation based on a speed of the vehicle; determine a risk corresponding to each of the plurality of paths for each situation based on the speed of the vehicle and a mass of the vehicle; determine a safety path corresponding to the smallest risk among the risks corresponding to each of the plurality of paths for each situation; and control the plurality of control modules based on a command set corresponding to the safety path.

Provided is a vehicle capable of performing safe and efficient autonomous driving by acquiring accurate information about surrounding objects based on behavior control of the vehicle. The vehicle includes: a camera configured to acquire a surrounding image of the vehicle which includes one or more objects; at least one sensor configured to acquire position data of the one or more objects; and a controller configured to identify identification areas respectively corresponding to the one or more objects based on the surrounding image and the position data, and if a part of the identification area overlaps an occlusion area, control the vehicle to separate the identification area and the occlusion area from each other, to perform autonomous driving.

A method for determining whether hot water is used during heating of an air handler system which uses a water heater as a heat source and supplies hot air through a duct for heating is disclosed. The method includes: (a) detecting a flow rate change of tap water supplied to the water heater; (b) detecting a temperature change of the tap water supplied to the water heater; and (c) determining that hot water is used during heating when the flow rate change of the tap water in step (a) and the temperature change of the tap water in step (b) are detected at the same time.
