Provided is a resonant network for plasma power supply, which is connected between a power supply unit and an output unit. The resonant network includes a resonant inductor connected in series with the power supply unit, a resonant capacitor connected in parallel with the output unit and connected in series with the resonant inductor, and a passive element connected in series with the output unit and the resonant inductor and connected in parallel with the resonant capacitor.

A power supply apparatus able to control an output current for maintaining plasma in a plasma generator includes: a switching power supply including a rectifier, an inverter, and a phase shifter; a plasma source connected to the switching power supply and generating the plasma in the plasma generator; a resonance network connected between the switching power supply and the plasma source and including a resonance inductor connected to a primary winding in series and a resonance capacitor connected to the plasma source in parallel and connected to the resonance inductor in series; and a control unit controlling the switching power supply in order to phase-shift a voltage and a current provided to the resonance network.

Power supply apparatus able to control output current and power supply method using the same

Provided is an induction heater which induces an electric current in a metal utensil (e.g., a cooking utensil) using an electromagnetic force and can thus heat the metal utensil, and more particularly, an induction heater which can prevent electric devices sensitive to temperature from being overheated by forcefully blowing air to the front and the rear of an inverter circuit board. The induction heater is easy to be miniaturized, and a considerable number of devices can be integrated into the induction heater.

An apparatus for controlling an inverter circuit of an induction heat cooker which generates and outputs high voltage power to cook food contained in a cooking container is disclosed. The apparatus varies a pulse width of high level interval of a driving pulse according to a level of AC power supplied thereto to vary a switch current of the inverter circuit, and sufficiently secures a turn off time of the driving pulse in proportion to a resonant time varying according to states of separation of the cooking container or the heated food. Therefore, the apparatus improves stability of the switching operation and endurance. Also the apparatus requires relatively low manufacturing costs as the trigger generation is implemented with relatively low-priced amplifiers.

Apparatus for controlling inverter circuit of induction heat cooker

An induction-heating cooking apparatus, operation of which is interrupted by container eccentricity is disclosed. Upon receiving an input signal varying with the degree of eccentricity of a container, the apparatus changes a reference signal for determining the presence or absence of a small load in proportion to a pulse-width control signal controlling the width of an inverter driving pulse. Although the eccentricity of the container occurs in a normal heating operation and completely escapes from a cook zone, the apparatus determines the occurrence of a no-load state, and interrupts an operation of an inverter circuit, resulting in increased stability of a circuit and a product.

An induction heating cooker capable of accurately discriminating whether the material of a cooking container placed in the induction heating cooker is magnetic or non-magnetic, using a phase change in a resonant capacitor voltage of an inverter circuit and a switching pulse signal of the inverter circuit, irrespective of the load of the cooking container, and a method for operating the induction heating cooker. The induction heating cooker includes a power supply for rectifying an AC voltage, filtering the rectified voltage, and supplying the filtered voltage as an input voltage of the induction heating cooker, an inverter circuit for heating a cooking container placed in the induction heating cooker, using the voltage supplied from the power supply, and a container material discriminating unit for discriminating whether a material of the cooking container is magnetic or non-magnetic, based on a resonant capacitor voltage of the inverter circuit and a switching pulse signal of the inverter circuit, upon an initial operation of the induction heating cooker, whereby the cooking container is selectively heated in accordance with the result of the discrimination.

Induction heating cooker and method for operating the same

An inverter circuit of an induction heating rice cooker which controls a switching frequency of an inverter in a variable manner according to a variation in an input voltage and drives the inverter at the controlled switching frequency. The inverter circuit comprises a power supply circuit for rectifying and filtering a commercial alternating current (AC) voltage to supply the input voltage to the induction heating rice cooker. The inverter performs a switching operation based on the input voltage from the power supply circuit to heat the rice cooker. The inverter circuit further comprises an inverter driving circuit for outputting a drive pulse to control the switching frequency of the inverter in the variable manner according to the input voltage from the power supply circuit and drive the inverter at the controlled switching frequency. Heating power of the rice cooker does not vary with the variation in the input voltage and an internal device of the inverter is prevented from being damaged due to the variation in the input voltage, thereby enhancing durability of a product and reliability of the inverter circuit.

A suction head of a vacuum cleaner with a power brush to dislodge and remove debris from an object to be cleaned is provided. The suction head includes a head case connected to a cleaner body via a connecting tube and having a suction hold on a lower surface thereof, a power brush positioned in the head externally protruding from the head case through the suction hole allowing contact with an object to be cleaned, a supporting unit fixed in the head case for supporting the power brush to allow rotary and linear movements thereof, a rotary operating unit positioned between the supporting unit and the power brush for rotating the power brush, and a linear operating unit installed between the supporting unit and power brush for moving the power brushing linearly. With such structure, the size of the suction head is reduced and cleaning performance is improved.
