According to the method of estimating a maximum road friction coefficient, artificial braking or driving-related control is conducted and a maximum road friction coefficient is estimated based on a difference in wheel speeds between front and rear wheels, compensated for slip of tires.

Method of estimating maximum road friction coefficient

An apparatus and a method for controlling motion of a vehicle to improve turning motion performance are provided. The processor determines a riding position of a user, receives information about a steering angle of the vehicle, and outputs a vehicle control signal with regard to turning motion performance according to at least one of a phase difference between a yaw rate and lateral acceleration or a lateral slip angle with respect to the riding position, based on the received steering angle. A controller controls the vehicle in accordance with the vehicle control signal. The apparatus provides a passenger of the vehicle with optimal turning motion performance.

The present disclosure relates to an apparatus for controlling the motion of a vehicle to improve riding comfort, and a method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a processor may determine a boarding location for a user and may determine a vehicle control signal in consideration of riding comfort according to acceleration or jerk based on the boarding location. A controller may control the vehicle depending on the vehicle control signal.

Apparatus for controlling motion of vehicle and method thereof

An apparatus for controlling vehicle stability includes a pressure calculator calculating a brake pressure. In one embodiment, the calculated brake pressure is calculated based on a yaw rate signal input from a yaw rate sensor. In other embodiments, the calculated brake pressure is further calculated on the basis of signals input from a steering angle sensor, a lateral acceleration sensor, a vehicle speeds sensor, and a master brake pressure sensor. A method for controlling vehicle stability is also provided. The method and apparatus enhances stability and reliability during vehicle driving.
