An apparatus and method for controlling driving of a plurality of fan motors for a refrigerator are provided. When operated, the plurality of fan motors provided in the refrigerator is sequentially operated at certain delay times, to thus improve operation efficiency of the plurality of fan motors. The apparatus for controlling driving of a plurality of fan motors includes blowing devices that supply cool air, a driving device that generates drive signals to drive the blowing devices, a controller that controls operation of the driving device, a power device that provides operation power of the driving device and the controller, and a cutoff device positioned between the driving device and the power device that cuts off noise and a surge voltage introduced from the power device to the driving device.

Drive control apparatus and method for refrigerator type fan motor

A speed-variable single phase induction motor. By a plurality of stators disposed with an interval therebetween and a plurality of magnetic rotors corresponding to the respective stators, the motor implements a high efficiency and a speed-variable performance such as a brushless direct current (BLDC) motor with a low cost without using an expensive inverter driving apparatus.

A hybrid induction motor includes a motor casing; a rotational shaft rotatably coupled with the motor casing; an induction rotor rotated by being integrally coupled with the rotational shaft and having a rotor core and a conductor bar inserted in the rotor core; a stator having a hollow into which the induction rotor is inserted and installed with a certain length in a direction of the rotational shaft; a first magnetic rotor inserted between the stator and the induction rotor and coupled with the rotational shaft so as to be freely rotatable; a second magnetic rotor inserted between the stator and the induction rotor so as to be symmetrical with the first magnetic rotor and coupled with the rotational shaft so as to be freely rotatable; and a magnetic spacer inserted between the first and second magnetic rotors.

Hybrid induction motor

A motor having a reverse-rotation preventing unit, comprises: a casing; a stator fixedly-coupled to an inside of the casing; a primary rotor rotatably inserted into the stator; a motor shaft coupled to the primary rotor; a secondary rotor having a permanent magnet and rotatably inserted into an air gap between the stator and the primary rotor; a locking unit installed at an inner wall of the casing; a ratchet unit rotatably coupled to the secondary rotor, and locked or unlocked to/from the locking unit when the secondary rotor is forward-rotated or reverse-rotated, for rotating the secondary rotor in a forward direction; and a position setting unit for moving the ratchet unit to a locking position or a unlocking position by a difference between a centrifugal force generated when the secondary rotor is rotated and its restoration force. In the present invention, the motor is only forward-rotated without being reverse-rotated and thus a reliability thereof is enhanced.

Motor having reverse rotation preventing unit

The hybrid induction motor includes a housing; a stator installed in the housing and having a stator core portion and a stator coil portion; a rotor coupling body having a rotary shaft rotatably installed in at the housing, a cage rotor portion rotating integrally with the rotary shaft, and a permanent magnet rotor portion coupled to a circumference of the cage rotor portion with a certain air gap so as to rotate freely with respect to the rotary shaft; and a reverse rotation preventing switch, when the rotary shaft rotates reversibly, coming in contact with the permanent magnet rotor portion which is moved along the shaft by thrust generated by the rotor coupling body and cutting off power being supplied to the stator coil portion.

An induction motor having a reverse-rotation preventing function, comprises: a stator provided with a winding coil generating flux by a current; an induction rotor provided with a cage and rotatably inserted in the stator, wherein a rotary shaft is coupled to its inside; a synchronous rotor provided with a permanent magnet and rotatably coupled between the stator and the induction rotor; an induction-force generating unit generating a force for moving the synchronous rotor in an axial direction; and a rotation preventing unit preventing a reverse rotation by fixing the synchronous rotor moved by the induction-force generating unit at the time of reverse rotation of the synchronous rotor. When a reverse rotation of the induction motor occurs as a reverse-rotation force is applied to the induction rotor due to a phase of a voltage which is initially applied and an unparallel rotating magnetic field at the time of initial driving of the motor, the load inertia of the synchronous rotor is increased, and the reverse rotation of the synchronous rotor and the induction rotor is prevented. Also, the construction for preventing the reverse rotation of the motor is simplified, and a small number of components are required.

A hybrid induction motor comprises a stator fixedly installed in a casing, an induction rotor rotatably inserted into a center of the stator and having a shaft at a center thereof, a first synchronous rotor installed between the stator and the induction rotor in a circumferential direction of the shaft so as to be freely rotatable, and a second synchronous rotor facing the first synchronous rotor in a longitudinal direction of the shaft and installed between the stator and the induction rotor so as to be freely rotatable.

A single-phase induction motor comprises a stator having a stator coil; an induction cage rotor rotatably inserted into a receiving groove of the stator, having a rotation shaft at a center thereof, having a plurality of first conductor bars at an outer peripheral portion thereof with the same interval in a circumferential direction, having a protrusion portion at an outer circumferential surface thereof, and having a plurality of second conductor bars installed at the protrusion portion in a circumferential direction; and a permanent magnet rotor free-rotatably installed between the stator and the induction cage rotor.

An apparatus for controlling a speed of a fan motor (HIM (Hybrid Induction Motor)) of an air-conditioner extends a speed control range of a fan motor of an air-conditioner by controlling revolutions per minute (RPM) of the fan motor. In order to extend the speed control range of the HIM, an RPM of the HIM is controlled based on a pre-set duty ratio of a switching device electrically connected with the HIM.
