According to an aspect of the present disclosure, an organic light emitting display device includes a plurality of pixels each including a pixel driving circuit. The plurality of pixels includes an organic light emitting diode and a driving TFT configured to control driving of the organic light emitting diode and including a gate node as a first node, a source node as a second node, and a drain node. Also, the plurality of pixels includes first to third switching TFTs electrically connected to the driving TFT and first and second storage capacitors configured to store a voltage to be applied to the driving TFT DT. Further, the plurality of pixels includes a coupling capacitor connected to a gate node of the third switching TFT so as to increase a voltage to be applied to the gate node of the driving TFT.

Organic light emitting display device and driving method of the same

An organic light emitting display device includes a plurality of pixels each having a pixel driving circuit. Each of the pixels includes an organic light emitting diode and a driving TFT that controls driving of the organic light emitting diode and includes an active layer of low temperature poly-silicon, a gate node, a source node, and a drain node. The pixels include first to fifth switching TFTs electrically connected to the driving TFT and each including an active layer of an oxide semiconductor, a gate node, a source node, and a drain node. Further, the pixels include a storage capacitor connected between the gate node of the driving TFT and the source node of the fifth switching TFT and a coupling capacitor electrically connected in series to the storage capacitor and configured to cause capacitive coupling to supply a bootstrapped voltage to the gate node of the driving TFT.

Liquid crystal display device and method for driving the same

An FFS mode LCD and a fabrication method thereof are provided. The fabrication method comprises: etching a common electrode material and a gate metal on a board at the same time through a first mask process; forming a gate insulating layer, an active layer and a source/drain metal on the board; forming a channel in a TFT part, forming an opening in the pixel area part by diffraction exposure and exposing a gate pad part through a second mask process; forming a passivation layer substantially on board, and forming a contact hole in TFT part, etching regions in pixel area part and exposing a gate pad and a data pad part through a third mask process; and forming a pixel electrode on regions of the TFT, pixel area part and opened regions of the gate pad and data pad part through a fourth mask process.

A method of manufacturing an LCD device is disclosed. Method of manufacturing liquid crystal display device

Disclosed herein is a liquid crystal display device which is capable of reducing the number of data drive integrated circuits (ICs) to curtail a production cost. The liquid crystal display device includes a plurality of pixel cells formed respectively in areas defined by a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines, a first unit pixel including at least three of the pixel cells, the at least three pixel cells being connected to different ones of the data lines, and a second unit pixel including at least three of the pixel cells other than the at least three pixel cells of the first unit pixel, the at least three pixel cells of the second unit pixel being connected respectively to the different data lines to which the at least three pixel cells of the first unit pixel are connected, wherein the first and second unit pixels are arranged in a direction of the data lines and connected to different ones of the gate lines. A plurality of adjacent pixel cells expressing the same colors or different colors on horizontal lines, among the pixel cells, are connected in common to the same data lines.

A liquid crystal display and a method for fabricating the same are disclosed, which can yield maximum liquid crystal efficiency from all areas within the pixels by orienting the liquid crystals in a manner that the liquid crystals are twisted by 90&#xb0; in an area above the electrodes and twisted by 180&#xb0; in an area in-between the electrodes. A shift register includes first and second stages for sequentially outputting scan pulses to drive first and second gate lines. One of the first and second stages includes a pull-up switching device connected to an enabling node of the one of the first and second stages; a first pull-down switching device connected to a first disabling node of the one of the first and second stages; a second pull-down switching device connected to a second disabling node of the one of the first and second stages; and a node controller. The node controller of the first stage controls the logic state of each of the enabling node of the first stage, the first disabling node of the first stage and the first disabling node of the second stage. The node controller of the second stage controls the logic state of each of the enabling node of the second stage, the second disabling node of the second stage and the second disabling node of the first stage.

A liquid crystal display and a fabricating method thereof for improving an aperture ratio are disclosed. A liquid crystal display (LCD) according to the present invention includes a gate line, a data line and a common line on the thin film transistor array substrate, the gate line crossing the data line to define a pixel region; a thin film transistor near the crossing of the gate line and the data line; a common electrode connected to the common line in the pixel region; and a pixel electrode connected to the thin film transistor in the pixel area for forming an in-plane electric field in association with the common electrode during an operation of the LCD, wherein an edge of the pixel electrode overlaps the common line with at least one insulating layer there between, and an edge of the common electrode overlaps the pixel electrode with said at least one insulating layer therebetween.

A method of fabricating an FFS LCD is provided. The fabrication method comprises: forming a common electrode and gate metal on a board and etching them through a first mask process; forming a gate insulating layer, active layer and source/drain metal on the board; forming a channel in a TFT part, removing the gate metal in the pixel area part and opening a gate pad part; forming a passivation layer substantially on the board, and forming a contact hole on the TFT part, removing the active layer remaining from the pixel area part and exposing a gate pad part and a data pad part by a third mask process; and forming a pixel electrode substantially on the board, and forming a pixel electrode on regions contacting the drain electrode in the TFT part, having the opening in pixel area part and opened regions of the gate pad and data pad part through a fourth mask process.
