Coil component

A coil device includes: a core including a winding core part and a flange part at an axial end part of the winding core part, a coil part including a first wire and a second wire wound around the winding core part, a first terminal electrode, formed on a flange part mounting surface and a lead-out part of the first wire is connected, and a second terminal electrode, formed on the mounting surface of the flange part spaced apart from the first terminal electrode and a lead-out part of the second wire is connected, in which the flange part includes a concave part, recessed from the upper surface of the flange part and from an outer end surface of the flange part in order to have bottoms. The coil device is easy to connect a wire and has excellent bonding strength even when the connecting part becomes the mounting surface.

Disclosed herein is a coil component that includes a core, first to fourth terminal electrodes provided on a first flange part, fifth to eighth terminal electrodes provided on a second flange part, first and second wires bifilar wound around a winding core part, and third and fourth wires bifilar wound around the winding core part. One and other ends of the first to eighth wires are connected corresponding one of the first to eighth terminal electrodes. The first and second wires cross each other in a first crossing area. The third and fourth wires cross each other in a second crossing area different from the first crossing area.

Pulse transformer

A pulse transformer includes a drum core having a winding core, a first flange provided at one end of the winding core in a first direction, and a second flange provided at the other end of the winding core in the first direction. The pulse transformer also includes a plurality of the first electrodes provided in the first flange and arranged in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction, a plurality of second electrodes provided in the second flange and arranged in the second direction, and a plurality of wires wound around the winding core. A length of the pulse transformer in the first and second directions are substantially equal, and a length of the pulse transformer in a third direction substantially perpendicular to the first and second directions is smaller than the length of the pulse transformer in the first and second directions.

The coil device comprises the magnetic core comprising the axial part and the magnetic core end part connecting to the axial part, the coil part formed by winding the wire around the axial part, and the electrode part provided at the magnetic core end part and made of good conductor. Each of the flange portions has an inner side surface connected to the winding core portion and an outer side surface opposite to the inner side surface, the outer side surface has a plurality of ridges and at least one groove, and the terminal electrodes are formed on at least the ridges of the outer side surfaces such that the terminal electrodes are isolated from each other by the groove.
