In one example, a system comprises a gear box housing configured to house a four stage gear set in combination with a shift actuator and a differential lock, wherein the four stage gear set comprises an input shaft, a first layshaft, a second layshaft, and an output shaft.

Systems for electric vehicle

An electric axle drivetrain assembly for use in a vehicle. The electric axle drivetrain assembly includes a motor that is drivingly connected to at least a portion of a differential assembly. Drivingly connected to ends of the differential assembly is a first axle half shaft and a second axle half shaft. At least a portion of a first and second wheel end assembly is connected to at least a portion of an end of the first and second axle half shafts opposite the differential assembly. A vehicle suspension system having a support member has a first hub carrier portion connected to a first end portion thereof and a second hub carrier portion connected to a second end portion thereof. Connected to at least a portion of a chassis is the motor and/or the differential assembly.

Electric axle drivetrain assembly

A wireless system for determining the displacement of spinning components of a differential assembly, including a differential case having a hollow interior space; a differential assembly having an actuator including an electromagnet having a coil, a spinning component selectively engaged with a differential gear arrangement and at least one sensor assembly non-rotatably mounted to the differential case including at least one sensor communicatively coupled to a printed circuit board, a transmitter and a power source. The sensor assembly extends axially and radially within the differential case and at least one sensor is configured to directly sense the axial displacement of the spinning component and the sensor assembly is configured generate a signal representing the axial displacement of the spinning component into a signal that is wirelessly transmitted to a receiver positioned outside the differential case.

Wireless system for determining displacement of spinning components

An axle assembly having a constant shaft disposed at least partially through a bearing hub assembly. The constant shaft defines a fluid conduit therethrough. A steering knuckle is disposed at least partially about the constant shaft. The axle assembly may include a bearing spacer disposed about the constant shaft, the bearing spacer being disposed at least partially axially between the bearing hub assembly and the steering knuckle. Additionally, a first rotary seal and a second rotary seal may be disposed radially between the bearing spacer and the constant shaft. The first and second rotary seals may at least partially define a fluid chamber in fluid communication with the constant shaft fluid conduit. Further, a port may be disposed through the bearing spacer, wherein the port is in fluid communication with the fluid chamber.

Front axle rotary joint assembly and the tire inflation system made therewith

A vehicle joint has a drive sleeve, a pinion shaft and a drive nut. The sleeve has a vent hole, a first set of splines and a first set of venting grooves. The pinion shaft has a second set of splines engaged with the first set of splines. A fluid gap radially outboard of the engaged spines extends the length of the engaged splines. A second set of venting grooves is engaged with the first set of venting grooves. The pinion shaft also has a first set of threads. The drive nut has a second set of threads engaged with the first set of threads. The drive nut also has a radial aperture extending through the drive nut. The first vent hole is in fluid connection with the radial aperture through some of the features described above.

Vehicle joint

A constant velocity joint has an inner race and a sleeve. The sleeve connects with the inner race. In addition, the sleeve connects with a pinion shaft via splines. A nut attaches to the sleeve and also the shaft. The nut/shaft attachment is through threads.

Constant velocity joint

A torque coupling unit for use with a differential assembly is provided. The torque coupling unit comprises a first member, a second member, a clutching assembly, and a clutch actuator. The first member is in driving engagement with a side gear of the differential assembly. The second member is in driving engagement with an output shaft. The clutch actuator assembly is disposed adjacent the clutching assembly and comprises a roller and ramp assembly. In response to a rotation of a portion of the clutch actuator assembly a portion of the roller and ramp assembly is driven in an axial manner to apply a force to the clutching assembly, causing a first portion of the clutching assembly to be at least variably frictionally engaged with a second portion of the clutching assembly.

Differential with torque coupling

An anti-lock brake rotor tone ring cartridge has an inner piece and an outer piece. The outer piece fits at least partially within the inner piece so as to prevent the axial movement of the inner piece. A tone ring is located on the inner piece.
