Methods, systems and apparatuses are disclosed for fire suppression systems in passenger vehicle cabins incorporating the use of an existing water supply and optionally existing water delivery system plumbing, or providing dedicated high-pressure water delivery plumbing to an existing water delivery system, with existing water delivery system comprising existing water delivery stations altered to comprise fixtures to facilitate the dispensing of water from the existing water delivery stations at elevated pressures, on demand.

Adaptive cabin firefighting methodology

An environmental aspect control assembly is configured to control one more environmental aspects. The environmental aspect control assembly may include at least one aspect-controlling portion formed of one or more environmental aspect-controlling materials, and at least one shape-changing actuator operatively connected to the aspect-controlling structure(s). The shape-changing actuator(s) is configured to have a first actuator shape at a first temperature and a second actuator shape at a second temperature that differs from the first temperature. The first actuator shape causes the aspect-controlling structure(s) to form a first structural shape. The second actuator shape causes the aspect-controlling structure(s) to form a second structural shape that differs from the first structural shape.

Environmental aspect control assembly

A power-assist apparatus includes a shape-memory alloy (SMA) rod, a power source, an actuator, and a differential gearbox. The SMA rod configured to rotate at an end of the SMA rod. The power source is coupled to the SMA rod. The actuator coupled to an openable apparatus. The differential gearbox is coupled between the actuator and the SMA rod. The differential gearbox converts the rotation of the SMA rod to motion of the actuator.

Shape-memory alloy power-assist apparatus

An embodiment of the present disclosure provides a method and apparatus for supplying an electrical current. The method comprises sending the electrical current into a device from a panel comprising a dielectric core. Further, the method comprises a first sheet with a first conductive adhesive attaching the first sheet to a first side of the dielectric core, wherein the first conductive adhesive is a first electrode for a battery. Yet further, the method comprises a second sheet with a second conductive adhesive attaching the second sheet to a second side of the dielectric core, wherein the second conductive adhesive is a second electrode for the battery. Still further, the method comprises operating the device using the electrical current from the battery in the panel.

Composite panel power system

An active composite panel assembly is configured to transfer electrical signals from a source to an electrical device. The active composite panel assembly includes a composite layer, and an active layer secured to the composite layer. The active layer is configured to receive and conduct the electrical signals.
