The present disclosure provides ink-jet inks incorporating dimeric fluorosurfactants. As such, an ink-jet ink can include a liquid vehicle; a non-ionic fluorosurfactant dimer having the structure CF(CF)(CH)(CRCRO)-A-(OCRCR)(CH)(CF)CF, where R is independently H or methyl, A is a bridging unit containing aliphatic or aromatic functionality, x is 3 to 18, y is 0 to 8, z is 0 to 100, a is 0 to 100, b is 0 to 8, and c is 3 to 18; and a polymer.

Dimeric fluorosurfactants for ink-jet inks

The present disclosure provides dimeric fluorosurfactants related methods and ink-jet inks incorporating such fluorosurfactants. As such, an ink-jet ink can comprise a liquid vehicle; a non-ionic fluorosurfactant dimer having the structure CF(CF)(CH)(CRCRO)-A-(OCRCR)(CH)(CF)CF, where R is independently H or methyl, A is a bridging unit containing aliphatic or aromatic functionality, x is 3 to 18, y is 0 to 8, z is 0 to 100, a is 0 to 100, b is 0 to 8, and c is 3 to 18; and a colorant.

Ink compositions and method of making the same are disclosed. A disclosed example ink composition includes a liquid vehicle, a colorant system and polyurethane vinyl hybrid latexes. Also disclosed is a method of using such ink composition containing polyurethane vinyl hybrid latexes.

Ink composition containing polyurethane vinyl hybrid latexes

The present disclosure provides inks, ink sets, and method for manufacturing inkjet inks. The inkjet ink can comprise a colorant, a liquid vehicle, and a polyurethane dispersion comprising polyurethane particles dispersed in the liquid vehicle. The polyurethane particles can have a core-shell structure with a branched inner core structure, and wherein the core comprises an amine cross-linker in an amount of 0.1 wt % to 1 wt % and the shell comprises a polyol cross-linker in an amount of 0.5 wt % to 2 wt %.

Polyurethane dispersion-containing inkjet inks

An inkjet ink composition includes: from 0.25 to 6 weight percent colorant; from 7 to 40 weight percent solvent; from 0.05 to 5 weight percent surfactant; and polyurethane binder in an amount of at least 0.5 weight percent of the inkjet ink composition but not more than twice the weight percent of the colorant. The polyurethane binder has a molecular weight from 32 K to 50 K and an acid number from 40 to 45. The polyurethane binder includes polyether polyol, aliphatic isocyanate and an acid group and does not include chain extenders.
