The invention is an improved header and corresponding port associated with a transducer assembly. The header and port define mating threaded portions, thread stop portions, and a weld gap region. The thread stop portions are configured to mate and maintain a pre-loading tension between the threaded portions during and after applying a weld in the weld gap region. The weld gap region is configured to have a predetermined gap distance such that the weld seals the transducer without stress in the weld. The mating of the first and second thread stops are configured to maintain at least a portion of the pre-loading tension.

Structure for controlling tension on a threaded header

Certain embodiments of the disclosed technology provide systems and methods for an improved header and corresponding port associated with a transducer assembly. The header and port define mating threaded portions, thread stop portions, and a weld gap region. The thread stop portions are configured to mate and maintain a pre-loading tension between the threaded portions during and after applying a weld in the weld gap region. The weld gap region is configured to have a predetermined gap distance such that the weld seals the transducer without stress in the weld. The mating of the first and second thread stops are configured to maintain at least a portion of the pre-loading tension.

An improved header assembly and corresponding port assembly comprising a tensioning member, wherein the tensioning member is isolated and separate from the weld portion and is adapted to place a threaded portion between the header assembly and port assembly in tension and maintain such tension, and thus relieve tension from the weld, before and after welding, thereby increasing the lifespan of the header and port assemblies.

Thread tensioning member in welded header structure

A switching valve having a bottom plate, an intermediate plate and a top plate. A distributor rotatably mounted in the intermediate plate. The bottom plate has an upper surface, and the distributor has a lower surface which interface with each other. The bottom plate has an inlet and an outlet spaced from each other and each having an inlet conduit extending from the inlet to the upper surface of the bottom plate and an outlet conduit extending from the outlet to the upper surface of the bottom plate. The distributor having an inlet conduit, an outlet conduit and a connecting conduit connecting the two together. The distributor inlet conduit is in communication with the bottom plate inlet conduit. The distributor outlet conduit is spaced from the distributor inlet conduit a distance equal to the space between the bottom plate outlet conduit and bottom plate inlet conduit so that rotation of the distributor to a predetermined position places the distributor outlet conduit in alignment with the bottom plate outlet conduit to permit fluid to flow from the inlet to the outlet and rotation of the distributor to another position disconnects the distributor outlet conduit from the bottom outlet conduit plate to prevent flow of the fluid. An O-ring seal in the bottom plate on each side of the bottom plate outlet conduit. An O-ring seal is provided in the top and bottom surfaces of the intermediate plate.

Switching valve

A gauge for determining the position of a workpiece within a fitting. The gauge comprises a body portion having a reference plane, a wall spaced from the reference plane and a fitting-receiving assembly. A shaft receiving bore is provided in the body portion which extends inwardly from the reference plane to receive at least some of the fitting-receiving assembly. The fitting-receiving assembly has a fitting-receiving portion extending outwardly from the reference plane for receiving a fitting thereon. The fitting-receiving portion has an end spaced from the reference plane and is mounted for reciprocal movement within the shaft-receiving bore relative to the reference plane. A stop assembly is provided which is operatively associated with the fitting-receiving portion and is movable therewith. The stop assembly has stop means spaced inwardly from the end on the fitting-receiving portion. A marking bore is provided in the body portion which extends inwardly for the wall. The marking bore is adapted to receive a workpiece and marking means are provided in the body portion for marking the position of the workpiece within the marking bore.

Gauge for determining the position of a workpiece within a fitting

A plug valve having a body with an inlet, an outlet and a plug-receiving opening which intersects the inlet and outlet. A plug is mounted in the opening and has an outer wall and an orifice extending therethrough. The plug is movable from an operative position in which the orifice connects the inlet to the outlet to allow fluid to flow to an inoperative position in which the orifice is disconnected from the inlet and outlet to prevent the flow of fluid from the inlet to the outlet. The plug outer wall has a seal-receiving portion which is spaced from the orifice and which is adapted to removably receive a seal retainer assembly. A seal is interposed between the seal-receiving portion of the plug and at least a portion of the seal retainer assembly to form a seal.
