A first reducing stage of two-stage regulators includes a first chamber that receives a high pressure breathable gas, a second chamber for the breathable gas at an intermediate pressure, and a pressure reducing valve that connects the first and the second chamber. The valve includes a valve seat with an opening for communication between the first and the second chamber, and a plug cooperating with the valve seat and movable between closed and open positions and vice versa. The plug, dynamically connected to a sensor exposed to the outer pressure, includes a transmission mechanism of the mechanical stress due to the outer pressure on the plug, which has a member that stops and starts the kinematic transmission chain according to the mechanical stress due to the outer pressure. Such member includes mechanical stress sensors that stop the kinematic transmission chain when the mechanical stress is below a predetermined threshold value and that restart the kinematic transmission chain when the mechanical stress is equal or above the threshold value.

A command and control assembly for inflating and deflating a hydrostatic balancing jacket includes a primary supply duct connected to an end of an air chamber of the jacket and provided, at the opposite end, with a hand piece having a mouthpiece device. A connection socket is provided on the hand piece, which is in fluid communication with a secondary supply duct connected to a compressed air tank, and a pneumatic actuation duct actuates a discharge valve of the jacket, which is in fluid communication with the secondary supply duct. Control systems of the delivery from the secondary duct, of the delivery to the pneumatic actuation duct, and of the delivery from the mouthpiece are arranged on the hand piece.

A method for for assessing severity of an underwater dive includes calculating a dive severity index by: (a) determining the gas breathed by the diver; (b) measuring the dive time; (c) determining the depth profile of the dive; (d) calculating a dive severity index based on a function of steps (a), (b) and (c); and (e) assessing severity based on the dive severity index calculated in step (d), wherein the steps (a), (b), (c), (d) and (e) are carried out in real time, at each instant of the dive time of the diver, and step (d) is performed according to the formula: DSI=k*f(GAS)*f(D)*f(T), where: DSI is the dive severity index, kis an arbitrary constant, f(GAS) is a function of the inhaled gas, f(D) is a function of the dive depth, and f(T) is a function of the dive time.

First stage pressure regulator

A regulator first stage for two-stage underwater breathing apparatuses includes a reduction chamber communicating with a high-pressure gas supply through a balance valve, which is influenced by the pressure of the external environment by a balance diaphragm that, by way of a suitable actuator, acts on the valve. The reduction chamber includes one or more medium pressure outlets, having axes parallel to the operating axis of the balance valve. In one configuration, one or more medium pressure outlets are also provided having axes orthogonal to the operating axis of the valve.

Regulator first stage for two-stage underwater breathing apparatuses

A device for reversibly connecting together a first element and a second element designed to be alternately connected and disconnected includes a male element inserted into a female element to move from a mutually disengaged state to a mutually engaged state and a slider for actuation/release of the engaged state, which is slidingly engaged by the male element into the female element. The relative movement of the actuation/release slider and the male element is transferred to first releasable locking members of the male element, which cooperate with corresponding second locking members of the female element to move from a stable locked state to a stable unlocked state of the male element by a movement of the slider in the direction of insertion. Furthermore, the male element includes a handle having the slider at least partially and slidingly housed therein.

Releasable connecting device

A device for releasably connecting a first element with a second element includes a male element connectable to one end of the first element, and a female element connectable to one end of the second element such that the male and female element pass from a disengagement condition to a mutual engagement condition. A slider activates and deactivates engagement and is engaged to the male element such to slide along the axis of insertion of the male element inside the female element. The relative motion between the activation/deactivation slider and the male element is transmitted to first removable locking members, belonging to the male element and cooperating with corresponding second locking members belonging to the female element, such to pass from a stable locking condition to a stable release condition of the male and female elements via a movement of the slider along the axis of insertion.

The cell for continuous electrolytic deposition treatment of bars or the like according to the invention comprises a closed vessel containing at least one tubular anode through which a bar for electrolytic processing can be conveyed in the axial direction, the bar being inserted into the vessel and leaving the vessel through respective inlet and outlet mouthpieces equipped with sealing means, means being present for supplying a flow of electrolytic bath to the anode or anodes and transferring the bath from the anode to the vessel, producing a flow of the bath inside the anode and parallel to the bar to be processed, dielectric spacing means also being present between the bar inlet mouthpiece and the end of the adjacent anode and adapted to define a zone of controlled chemical attack before electroplating begins.
