Vibronic multisensor

A device and a method for determining and/or monitoring at least one process variable of a medium include a sensor unit having a mechanically oscillatable unit, at least a first piezoelectric element, a conductivity/capacitance detecting unit for determining and/or monitoring a conductivity and/or capacitance of the medium and an electronics unit. The device is embodied to excite the mechanically oscillatable unit by means of an excitation signal such that mechanical oscillations are executed, to receive the mechanical oscillations of the oscillatable unit, to convert them into a first received signal, to transmit a transmitted signal, and to receive a second received signal. The electronics unit is embodied, based on the first and/or second received signal, to determine the at least one process variable of the medium.

A device and a method for measuring and/or monitoring at least one process variable of a medium is provided. The device comprises a sensor unit with a mechanically vibrating unit, at least one reflection unit, a piezoelectric element which is attached to the membrane, and an electronic. The device is designed to excite the mechanically vibrating unit to mechanical vibrations using an excitation signal, to receive the mechanical vibrations of the vibrating unit and convert them into a first reception signal, to emit a transmission signal, and to receive a second reception signal. The electronic unit is designed to determine the at least one process variable of the medium based on the first and/or second reception signal.

A device for determining and/or monitoring at least one process variable of a medium in a container includes four, rod-shaped elements arranged on a membrane, three piezoelectric elements and an electronics system, wherein one first and one second rod-shaped element are arranged and configured such that they form a mechanically vibratable unit, wherein the device is configured to excite the vibratable unit via an excitation signal to create mechanical oscillations, to receive the mechanical oscillations of the vibratable unit, to convert them into a first received signal, to transmit a transmitted signal, and to receive a second received signal, and wherein the electronics system is configured to determine the at least one process variable based on the first and/or second received signal.

A device and a method for determining and/or monitoring at least one process variable of a medium include a sensor unit having a mechanically oscillatable unit, at least a first piezoelectric element, a temperature detection unit for determining and/or monitoring a temperature of the medium and an electronics unit. The device is embodied to excite the mechanically oscillatable unit by means of an excitation signal such that mechanical oscillations are executed, to receive mechanical oscillations of the oscillatable unit and convert them into a first received signal, to transmit a transmitted signal and to receive a second received signal. The electronics unit is embodied, based on the first and/or second received signal, to determine the at least one process variable and, based on a third received signal received from the temperature detection unit, to determine the temperature of the medium.

Disclosed is a pressure gauge comprising a pressure sensor, a pressure transmitter connected upstream of the pressure sensor and having an isolation diaphragm, the outer side of which can be supplied with pressure and under which a pressure receiving chamber is enclosed, and comprising a hydraulic pressure transmission path connected to the pressure receiving chamber and filled with a pressure transmitting fluid. The electronics unit is embodied, based on the first and/or second received signal, to determine the at least one process variable of the medium.

Disclosed is a pressure gauge comprising a pressure sensor and a pressure transmitter connected upstream of the pressure sensor and having an isolation diaphragm enclosing a pressure receiving chamber. A hydraulic pressure transmission path is connected to the pressure receiving chamber and is filled with a pressure transmitting fluid that transmits the pressure acting on the outer side of the isolation diaphragm to the pressure sensor The pressure gauge allows functional impairments of the pressure gauge to be detected early without having to change the pressure acting on the outer side of the isolation diaphragm. The pressure transmitter comprises an electronically activatable deflection device which is designed in such a way that, when activated, it exerts a constant force deflecting the isolation diaphragm, on the isolation diaphragm, or on an element connected to the isolation diaphragm.

The present disclosure relates to a method for determining at least one process variable of a medium. The method includes steps of recording a first value for the process variable by means of a first method for determining the process variable and recording a second value for the process variable by means of a second method for determining the process variable. The method also includes steps of selecting at least one of the detected values for the process variable by means of a classifier and outputting the selected value for the process variable. The present disclosure further relates to a computer program designed for executing a method according to the present disclosure, and to a computer program product having a computer program according to the present disclosure.

An ultrasonic piezoelectric transducer is alternatingly operated in a transmitting mode and in a receiving mode. In the transmitting mode an electrical excitation signal is applied between one or more common electrodes and one or more transmission electrodes, and in the receiving mode an electrical reception signal is collected between the one or more common electrodes and one or more reception electrodes. Moreover, in the receiving mode one or more electrodes which are not used as reception electrodes are connected via a low impedance connection with the one or more common electrodes which has the effect that in the receiving mode the resonance frequencies of the piezoelectric transducer are shifted to lower values so that with the same operating frequency the piezolectric transducer is in series resonance in the transmitting mode and in parallel resonance in the receiving mode. In this way, the piezoelectric transducer operates under optimum conditions with perfect frequency matching both for transmission and for reception.
