Systems, apparatuses, and methods for constructing an airship quickly and cost-effectively are described. In one embodiments, a jig for constructing a mainframe of an airship structure may have a first rail and a second rail that are configured to be parallel to each other, the first rail and the second rail each forming an arc, multiple first supporting structures coupled to the first rail, wherein the first supporting structures have non-uniform heights to support a curvature of the arc of the first rail, multiple second supporting structures coupled to the second rail, wherein the second supporting structures have non-uniform heights to support a curvature of the arc of the second rail, wherein the first rail and the second rail are configured to interface with detachable wheels coupled to an outer surface of the mainframe and enable the mainframe to be rotated along its axis on the jig.

Apparatuses for constructing airships

Systems, apparatuses, and methods for constructing an airship quickly and cost-effectively are described. In one embodiments, an airship structure may have a plurality of mainframes, each comprising interconnected pyramid structures. One of the pyramid structures may include an apex joint, four base joints, first connectors, and second connectors. The apex joint and base joints may each have slots configured for receiving connectors. The apex joint may have four apex-to-base slots and each base joint may have a base-to-apex slot and two base-to-base slots. Each of the first connectors may connect the apex joint to one of the four base joints using one of the apex-to-base slots of the apex joint and the base-to-apex slot of that base joint. Each of the second connectors may connect two of the four base joints using one of the base-to-base slots of each of the two base joints connected by that second connector.

Methods and apparatus for constructing airships

Embodiments may be implemented by a computing device, such as a head-mountable display or mobile phone, in order to pre-emptively warm up the device's camera, when it is probable that a user will be taking a photo. An illustrative method involves a computing device (a) receiving sensor data from one or more sensors associated with the computing device, wherein the computing device comprises an image-capture device, (b) analyzing the sensor data to detect at least one pre-image-capture signal, wherein the at least one pre-image-capture signal indicates a subsequent image-capture signal is likely to be received, and (c) in response to detecting the at least one pre-image-capture signal, causing the computing device to initiate an image-capture preparation process that prepares the image-capture device to capture an image.

A high-altitude balloon is provided that may use at least one conductive coil to facilitate attitude control of the balloon. The balloon may include an envelope, a conductive coil, and a control system. The conductive coil may be operatively coupled to the envelope, and the control system may be configured to perform functions. The functions may include determining a measure of rotation with respect to a predetermined orientation of the balloon. The functions may additionally include causing a current to be applied to the conductive coil in a manner such that torque is applied to the envelope that counteracts the measure of rotation and substantially returns the balloon to the predetermined orientation.

This disclosure relates to winking to capture image data using an image capture device that is associated with a head-mountable device (HMD). An illustrative method includes detecting a wink gesture at an HMD. The method also includes causing an image capture device to capture image data, in response to detecting the wink gesture at the HMD.

A media stream, such as a news broadcast, is supplemented with documents that are relevant to the media stream. The documents may be web pages returned from a search engine. A search query generation component generates search queries for the search engine based on the media stream. A post processing component may re-rank and/or filter the documents to enhance the viewing experience for the user.

An electronic device includes a band configured to be worn on the head of a user. The band has a central portion and first and second temple portions extending therefrom. The central portion is configured to contact a portion of the face of a user, and the temple portions are configured to contact portions of the head of the user near ears thereof. An operational unit having a display element is affixed to the first temple portion and includes a housing having an arm defining a longitudinal axis. The housing also includes an elbow portion defining a display end that supports the display element such that it extends along a display axis angled with respect to the longitudinal axis and such that the display element is positionable over an eye of the user. Image generating means are disposed within the housing for generating an image presentable on the display element.

Embodiments described herein may relate to an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) navigating to a medical situation in order to provide medical support. An illustrative method involves a UAV (a) housing a medical-support device, (b) determining a target location associated with at least one individual in need of medical assistance, (c) navigating the UAV from a remote location to the target location, (d) the computing system making a determination that the UAV is located at the target location, and (e) in response to the determination that the UAV is located at the target location, delivering by a delivery mechanism the medical-support device for providing medical assistance for the at least one individual in need of medical assistance.

An exemplary computer-implemented method involves a computing device: (a) causing a graphic display to display a user-interface for accessing one or more experience-sharing sessions, wherein the user-interface is associated with a first user-account; (b) determining a location; (c) initiating a location-based search for one or more associated experience-sharing sessions, wherein each associated experience sharing session involves at least one second user-account that has a confirmed association with the first user-account, and wherein the location-based search is based on the determined location; and (d) causing the graphic display to display at least a portion of each of one or more associated experience-sharing sessions that result from the location-based search.

Exemplary methods and systems relate to the handling of a communication request by a wearable computing device. For example, a wearable computing device may respond to communication requests by sharing real-time media that portrays the device's surroundings and the activity of a user associated with the device. This process may proceed automatically or as a result of user-input and may additionally involve procedures for accepting or rejecting the communication request.

A system may receive a voice search query and may determine word hypotheses for the voice query. Each word hypothesis may include one or more terms. The system may obtain a search query log and may determine, for each word hypothesis, a quantity of other search queries, in the search query log, that include the one or more terms. The system may determine weights based on the determined quantities. The system may generate, based on the weights, a first search query from the word hypotheses and may obtain a first set of search results. The system may modify, based on the first set of search results, one or more of the weights. The system may generate a second search query from the word hypotheses and obtain, based on the second search query, a second set of search results for the voice query.
