A device may receive relationship information indicating a relationship between first geographic information and a network gateway. The network gateway may be associated with providing a user device with access to a network. The device may store the relationship information. The device may receive, from the user device and via a base station, second geographic information indicating a tracking area in which the user device is located. The device may identify one or more network gateways, associated with the second geographic information, based on the second geographic information and the relationship information. The device may provide, to the user device, one or more device identifiers associated with the one or more network gateways to permit the user device to access the network via the one or more network gateways. The one or more device identifiers may be provided in association with a non-access stratum message.

Determining a core network gateway based on a tracking area or a cell of a user device

Systems described herein use a group packet data network (PDN) to support communications from machine-type communications (MTC) devices on wireless networks. The systems assign a MTC device to a group with a group identifier, the group associating the MTC device, and other MTC devices, with a customer network; receive an attach request from the MTC device; retrieve the group identifier for the MTC device; configure a bearer path between the MTC device and the customer network based on the group identifier, the bearer path including a group PDN that transports data packets from the MTC device, and the other MTC devices, between a serving gateway (SGW) and a PDN gateway (PGW); and send data packets from the MTC device over the group PDN.

Group PDN method to support MTC devices on cellular network

Systems described herein use a group packet data network (PDN) to support communications from machine-type communications (MTC) devices on wireless networks. The systems assign a MTC device to a group with a group identifier, the group associating the MTC device, and other MTC devices, with a particular customer network; receive an attach request from the MTC device; retrieve, based on the attach request, the group identifier for the MTC device; configure a bearer path between the MTC device and the particular customer network, the bearer path including a group PDN that transports data packets from the MTC device, and the other MTC devices, between a serving gateway (SGW) and a PDN gateway (PGW); and send data packets from the MTC device over the group PDN.

This disclosure details the implementation of methods, systems and computer program products for mobile terminated message SPAM control (hereinafter, 'M-SPAM Restrictor'). In one embodiment, M-SPAM Restrictor systems implement a live application at a mobile network element that processes message service, whereby a message rate limit is set on the element, and a message source may be blocked from further messaging activity if the rate of message activity exceeds the rate limit, until the offending source has resolved the issue with the service provider (carrier).

Methods, systems and computer program products for a mobile-terminated message SPAM restrictor

A Short Message Peer-to-Peer (SMPP) parameter is used for managing message content of a message within a wireless communication network, such as an SMS message. A content rating is associated with a short code corresponding to the content and the content rating is inserted, for example, into a Tag Length Variable (TLV) field of the message. The content rating can be compared with a subscriber rating to determine whether to block or approve delivery of a message based upon the comparison.
