A device may include a power source, two or more lamps for providing light, and a controller. The controller may be configured to periodically select a first combination of one or more of the lamps, provide power from the power source to the first combination of the lamps, select a second combination of one or more of the lamps, and switch the power from the first combination of the lamps to the second combination of the one or more of the lamps after a period of time has elapsed.

Extending service life of lighting fixtures

A palletized bundle of stacked elongate cable trays includes a pair of endcaps placed over each longitudinal end of the stack of cable trays. The endcaps are each cinched by a shipping strap to pallet spacer skids provided under each endcap. Each pallet spacer skid accommodates the lifting tines of a forklift. The pallet spacer skids also provide sufficient ground clearance to allow the palletized cable trays to be transversely engaged by the lifting tines of a forklift. The palletizing package may also include protective liners placed between the shipping strap and the stack of cable trays to further protect the cable trays from damage by the cinched shipping strap.

Cable tray packaging

An electrical outlet box including a bottom wall having a plurality of cable accommodating bottom wall openings and an upstanding side wall perimetrically bounding the bottom wall and including a plurality of cable accommodating side wall openings. The bottom wall and side wall define a box interior. A cable clamp is adjustably mounted within the box interior. The cable clamp allows restricted passage of the cable through the side wall openings while covering the bottom wall openings.

Universal octagonal outlet box

Metal construction members or studs have a generally U-shaped profile, and can be provided with openings for cables, plumbing conduits and the like. Walls are constructed by attaching wallboard to vertically asserted studs. To protect cables etc. against accidental penetration by nails and screws, a protector plate unit has first and second protector plates for mounting adjacent outer faces of the metal stud. A mounting web extends between the protector plates. Securing means, for example a collar and tabs on the mounting web, engages the opening in the steel stud, to secure the protector plate unit in position, and to provide an internally smooth bushing.

Construction member protector plate unit

A self-locking divider plate made of flat sheet metal is provided in an electrical box to form separate compartments. The electrical box has several upper and lower front ledges which form aligned slots which in turn, cooperate to receive the divider plate. The side edges of the divider plate has a biased sheared tab which locks the plate in place between the slots upon installation of the plate into the box. These sheared tabs extend outwardly from one of the planar surfaces of the plate. When the plate is inserted into two aligned front slots, the tabs are pushed inwardly toward the planar surface of the plate, and spring back to their normal position when the plate is in its proper position in the box. The tabs engage an inside surface of the ledges when the plate is moved outwardly from the box to prevent its accidental removal. Tangs on the back edge of the plate fit into slots in the back wall of the box, and tangs on a front edge of the plate adjacent to the sheared tabs engage the walls of the slots to position and secure the divider plate within the box.
