A protection and control assembly includes several multipole electrical switch devices each having a box () provided with input side and output side conducting connection strips, that project along a vertical axis on a horizontal connection area on the input side, and output side respectively, of the box () and that can be inserted in openings () of removable power terminal blocks (). The assembly includes at least one connecting element (') that electrically connects the poles of a first and a second electrical device of the assembly, the connecting element () being arranged such that it is positioned firstly between the box () and a power terminal block () of the first device, and secondly between the box () and a removable power terminal block (&#x2032;) of the second electrical device.

An electric switch assembly including a multipolar quick-assembly appliance and a quick-connect appliance, wherein the body of an appliance, or its power terminal strip, is directly fixed and interlocked with to the body of an adjacent appliance. The interconnection between the various appliances is rapidly performed by multipolar blocks capable of being pressed on the front surfaces of appliances and being elastically plugged into their terminals.

Start-motor assembly

A pre-wiring device creating a logic function such as an inverter function or a star-delta start function between at least two multi-pole contactors located side by side and used particularly in electrical control equipment of motors. A same pre-wiring device allows connections to be made in an identical way to several sizes of contactors which reduces accordingly the number of different terminal bars to be designed and manufactured. According to a characteristic of the invention, this pre-wiring device includes an upstream pre-wiring terminal bar fitted with metal pins to be inserted into the upstream wiring terminal blocks of the contactors. The pre-wiring device also includes a downstream pre-wiring terminal bar.

The switch of the invention includes, for each pole, an insulating case having two lateral dividing walls one of which forms part of an open pole housing and the other belongs to a closure element of the case. Each pole includes a contact opening mechanism with which is associated a common transmission piece for coupling said pole with an adjacent pole. This piece is mounted for rotation in a bearing formed in the lateral dividing wall of the case. It has at one end a male coupling element and at a second end a female coupling element, these elements being of complementary shapes for allowing engagement of adjacent and coaxial coupling pieces by fitting together.

The apparatus of the invention comprises a case housing a fixed contact and a mobile contact carried by a pivoting lever, with resilient return to the closure position, a rocking lever adapted for acting on the pivoting lever in the opening direction in response to an electric fault and a manual control member connected to the pivoting lever. A single spring exerts on the pivoting lever a first torque in the closure direction and on a drive piece blockable by the rocking lever a force adapted to generate on the lever a second torque antagonistic to and greater than the first one. With the manual control member a third torque antagonistic to and greater than the first one is exerted on the pivoting lever.
