The invention relates to a method for treating a gas stream comprising combustion fumes containing CO2 in an initial proportion, water vapor, one or more volatile acid compounds, and one or more additional impurities selected from among oxygen, nitrogen and argon, comprising the steps of: i) compressing the gas stream to a final pressure of 1 bar to 74 bar absolute; ii) cooling the gas stream to a temperature of around &#x2212;10&#xb0; C. to around &#x2212;130&#xb0; C. and eliminating at least one additional impurity; and iii) recovering a CO2-enriched gas stream containing a final proportion of CO2 greater than the initial proportion of CO2 in the stream to be treated. In addition, the method comprises, prior to step i), a step of pre-drying the stream for removing therefrom at least a portion of the water vapor which it contains.

The invention relates to a method for purifying a gas flow containing hydrogen (H2) and carbon monoxide (CO), in addition to at least one nitrogen oxide (NOx), as impurities. Use of an adsorbent in solid foam form for the purification or separation of gases

Zeolite adsorbent, and method of production, exchanged with calcium and barium cations, for purifying or separating a gas or gas mixture, in particular air, so as to remove therefrom the impurities found therein, such as hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides (NO). The gas stream containing one or more gaseous impurities from the group formed by carbon dioxide, water vapor, H S, alcohols, SO and C -C saturated or unsaturated, linear, branched or cyclic hydrocarbons is brought into contact with several different porous carbon adsorbents, that is to say active carbons having different properties and characteristics. The gas is air, nitrogen, hydrogen produced by the reforming or cracking of ammonia or the combustion gas or fermentation gas.

Process for purifying a gas by adsorption of the impurities on several active carbons

An aqueous solution with a pH of greater than 5, preferably of at least 6.5, can be used in an ion-exchange process, in particular a process for the manufacture of a zeolite. This aqueous solution comprises metal cations, such as zinc, and an agent for complexing the metal cations, such as citric acid or a salt of this acid.
