An assembly for assembling optical fiber with at least two pairs of MPO contacts. The optical contacts being of the multifiber push-on type. The assembly includes a socket including MPO contacts cooperating with a plug. The plug includes, through axial openings configured to receive the MPO contacts, a first positive-location element positioned in each axial opening of the plug and a second positive-location element positioned on each corresponding MPO contact. A holding element configured to hold the MPO contacts in the plug. The plug shape cooperates with the shape of the socket to ensure coupling thereof. The socket includes locking elements to lock the MPO contacts. Each MPO contact of the plug is locked with the corresponding MPO contact in the socket.

A secure locking and unlocking system includes a plug body that is cylindrical in shape, a locking ring and a notched washer. One face of the notched washer is positioned on the locking surface of the locking ring. The system further includes a holding pin that locks the position of a locking element and an upper ring mounted on the locking ring. The locking ring includes a ramp-shaped groove with a linear part, a rising ramp and a descending ramp. A ramp spring is configured so that the locking or unlocking movement of the upper ring is mobile and the locking ring is fixed. The upper ring includes a hole in which a lug is placed. The end of the lug cooperates with the ramp-shaped groove of the locking ring that guides the upper ring in relation to the locking ring.

A connection system includes a base () that can be mounted through a wall () of an electronics unit (), the base () being provided with electric pin contacts () that come out into the electronics unit and whose ends are connected electrically to a printed circuit () of the electronics unit. This base () is equipped with a holding plate (), mounted around electric pin contacts () and around a back part () of the base and, provided with catch elements () that can be fitted into the printed circuit, so that the base is integral with the printed circuit.

A secure locking system includes: a case () having at least one transverse orifice () that opens to the surface of the case; a locking ring () having a notched wall (), which can be locked at one end of the case; a spring () housed in the orifice of the case; a ball () installed at least partially in the orifice of the case, above the spring. The spring is made of a shape-memory material, which assumes: an elastic state when an environmental temperature is less than or equal to a critical temperature of the shape-memory material, this elastic state enabling movement of the ball in the orifice; or a hardened state when an environmental temperature is higher than the critical temperature of the shape-memory material, this hardened state preventing any movement of the ball in the orifice. A connector and connector assembly including the locking system are described.

An anti-unlock screw device () for connector designed to maintain the connection between two connection elements (), includes a cylindrical sleeve () provided with a row of saw-tooth notches () arranged on an internal circumference of a rear portion. The device also has an internal ring () mounted in the rear portion of the cylindrical sleeve so that it can be positioned between the cylindrical sleeve and the first connection element, the internal ring including at least one catch () capable of cooperating with the saw-tooth notches of the cylindrical sleeve. A blocking device () keeps the internal ring fixed relatively to the cylindrical sleeve in a first sense of rotation (V) and inversely keeps the internal ring free in rotation relatively to the cylindrical sleeve in a second sense of rotation (DV).

A female electrical contact () has one connecting end () which is able to have two states, respectively a non-stressed state, and a stressed state, in which a connecting diameter is reduced, for receiving and maintaining the connection with a mating electrical contact. An annular gorge () in an undercut is provided on the wall () of the female electrical contact, such that in the non-stressed state, it has a tapered longitudinal cross-section, and in the stressed state, it has a straight longitudinal cross-section. A connector unit that includes at least one such contact, and a process for production are also described.

The invention refers to a modular adapter for a connector insert, characterized in that it comprises a hollow body provided with a through cavity for receiving a connector insert, an external wall of said hollow body being provided with reversible retention means able to cooperate with the internal wall of a through hole in a connector box in which said adapter is intended to be mounted. The invention also refers to a connection unit comprising two modular adapters, respectively male and female adapters.

A locking device designed to maintain the connection between a male connecting element and a female connecting element, and assembly including the locking device. The locking device includes a sleeve provided with a female thread designed to interact with a male thread of the female connecting element and indexing means housed in the sleeve and designed to interact with the male connecting element and to be indexed during screwing of the locking device onto the female connecting element. The locking device also includes a compression device mounted so that it sides in the sleeve and is capable of increasing a contact pressure between the indexing means after screwing.

Connector () fitted to the end of a cable and provided with lateral locking means () provided so as to interact with a receptacle of a complementary device with which the plug connector is connected. The locking means comprise a tongue () exhibiting a stump () passing from a lateral slot () of the connector. The tongue is retained in a base () of the connector by means of piercing means () which are themselves retained in the base. In addition to this, the locking means comprise anchoring means in order to be retained in a cover () surrounding this base.
