A transceiver station is provided for forming a telecommunications network node. The station includes at least two transceiver radio modules and a control module. Each transceiver module is adapted to operate alternatingly as a subscriber station and as a base station, as a function of commands from the control module. The control module is adapted to determine a modification of the state of the network and to dynamically control at least one change in the operation of at least one transceiver module, from subscriber station to base station or vice versa, as a function of at least the determined modification. The control module is adapted so that the number of subscriber stations connected to a base station is at most equal to 1.

The invention relates to a frequency hopping communication method in which the data travels over time-variable frequency bearers. A frequency bearer is defined as a subset pair of carriers in a channel of a set of frequency channels (RF). The choice of the frequency bearers is derived from a pseudo-random draw.

A method for transmitting data packets having a heading followed by a data field. The data of the field is transmitted by groups of symbols. According to the OFDM technique, subcarriers modulated by the groups are generated. A frequency modulation of a carrier signal delivered by a linear ramp generator is produced with a set of modulated subcarriers. When the signal is received, mixing with a linear ramp results in subcarriers which are separated and then demodulated for supplying data. This is useful for transmitting data packets particularly in wide band networks.

The pulse response of the master station received by the user stations is synchronized. The pulse responses acquired from the user stations are received by the master station. The pulses are equalized at reception for each user station and for the master station.
