The invention relates to a biocell () with a biofuel reservoir intended to be brought into contact with a liquid medium and with a fluid medium comprising an oxidant. Said biocell comprises a first electrochemical cell having: an anode () comprising a first enzyme capable of catalyzing the oxidation of the biofuel; &#x2014;a cathode () comprising a second enzyme capable of catalyzing the reduction of the oxidant; and &#x2014;a separating and porous membrane (), electrically insulating, and permeable to said liquid medium, placed between the anode () and the cathode (). Said biocell () being characterized in that it comprises a means for storing the biofuel () and for providing the liquid medium to the anode (), said means comprising a hydrophilic porous material in contact with said anode ()) and having a basis weight of 500 to 900 g/m2.

Biocell with fuel reservoir

The invention concerns a bioelectrode and a device comprising same, for detecting or oxidising glucose. The bioelectrode of the invention comprises a layer of carbon nano tubes to which aromatic molecules are bonded, and FAD-GDH enzymes being adsorbed on the aromatic molecules. The invention relates to new, inexpensive electropolymers capable of light-induced grafting, onto which specific identification probes can be easily grafted and having optimum capacity for interaction with the target analytes (DNA/DNA, PNA/PNA, enzyme/substrate/Antibody/Antigen). These electropolymers capable of light-induced grafting are, for example, poly(pyrrole-benzophenone). Benzophenone forms sites for light-induced grafting. The invention also covers the mono and oligomers which make up these novel electropolymers capable of light-induced grafting.
