A mobile terminal according to the present disclosure comprises: a terminal body; a display unit mounted on the terminal body; a first camera which is disposed on one surface of the terminal body and takes a photograph at a first angle of view; a second camera which is disposed adjacent to the first camera and takes a photograph at a second angle of view larger than the first angle of view; and a controller which sets a white balance reference value using image data acquired by the second camera and outputs, to the display unit, a corrected image acquired by correcting an image, captured by the first camera, on the basis of the white balance reference value.

Mobile terminal and control method therefor

A mobile terminal configured to process images, the mobile terminal comprising: a camera configured to capture images; an image sensor configured to acquire an image signal of an object in an image captured via the camera; an infrared sensor configured to detect an infrared signal reflected from the object; a controller configured to utilize the image sensor to: determine whether flicker is generated; and detect information related to a light source contributing to the generated flicker based on the detected infrared signal; and an image processor configured to perform white balance of the acquired image, the white balance performed based on the detected information if flicker is generated, and provides an effective white balancing method according to types of peripheral light sources through flicker analysis based on the image sensor and the infrared sensor.

Mobile terminal equipped with a camera and controlling method thereof

In one example embodiment, a lens calibration method includes generating a distorted image by distorting a pattern image that includes at least two reference points separated from a center of the pattern image by different distances. The method further includes generating lens calibration data by comparing the pattern image with the distorted image.
