Disclosed is a refrigerator for uniformly illuminating an inner space thereof. The refrigerator includes a cabinet including a storage compartment having a predetermined size, a shelf installed in the storage compartment, the shelf including a light source unit for illuminating an inside of the storage compartment, a transmitter connected to an external power supply for wirelessly transmitting power, the transmitter having a primary resonance frequency within a predetermined range, and a receiver for wirelessly receiving the power from the transmitter so as to supply the power to the light source unit of the shelf, the transmitter transmitting the power to the receiver using a secondary resonance frequency generated when the receiver is located close to the transmitter.

A home appliance is disclosed, including a first circuit unit including a converter configured to convert an Alternating Current (AC) power into a Direct Current (DC) power, a first coil, a first modulator/demodulator configured to wirelessly transmit the DC power generated by the converter using the first coil, and a first controller configured to control the first modulator/demodulator, and a second circuit including a second coil configured to receive a wireless power transmitted by the first circuit unit, a second modulator/demodulator configured to convert the wireless power received from the second coil, a rectifier configured to rectify an AC power generated by the second modulator/demodulator, and a second controller configured to control operation of the second modulator/demodulator, wherein the first modulator/demodulator and the second modulator/demodulator perform bidirectional time-division data communication.

A wireless power transmission system using multiple coils comprises a transmitter; and a receiver, wherein the transmitter includes a module for receiving a predetermined voltage, and a primary coil for generating a primary resonance frequency in accordance with the received voltage. The receiver spaced apart from the transmitter includes a load for emitting light, capacitors connected in series or in parallel in accordance with an equivalent resistance of the load, and a secondary coil for generating a secondary resonance frequency greater than the primary resonance frequency.
