A device for controlling an engine clutch in an environmentally-friendly vehicle, wherein the engine clutch is disposed between an engine and a driving motor and is configured to selectively connect the engine to the driving motor, includes: a transmission configured to receive a driving force that is transmitted from at least one of the engine and the driving motor by release or engagement of the engine clutch; and a controller configured to control the engine clutch based on a gear of the transmission when the failure of the engine clutch is detected and configured to charge a battery using the engine.

A method for learning an engine clutch kiss point of a hybrid vehicle includes: controlling, by a controller, an engine clutch which connects an engine with a motor or disconnects the engine from the motor so that the engine clutch is engaged after the controller checks stop of the engine and of the motor and stabilization operation for a hydraulic pressure line of the engine clutch is performed; controlling the motor to have a certain speed after the stabilization operation; controlling the engine clutch to be engaged after speed of the motor is stabilized; determining whether torque variation of the motor when the engine clutch is engaged is equal to or greater than a threshold value; and determining a hydraulic pressure at which the torque variation is the threshold value as the kiss point of the engine clutch.

Method for learning engine clutch kiss point of hybrid vehicle

A technique for setting offset of a hydraulic pressure sensor which senses operation oil pressure is provided herein. In particular, ignition-off is detected and an ignition-off time point and remaining pressure of the object to be sensed are stored. The remaining pressure is sensed by the hydraulic pressure sensor at the ignition-off time point and stored accordingly. Additionally, whether an ignition is turned on or not after the ignition-off is also detected and an ignition-on time point is stored, when the ignition-on is detected after the ignition-off. A time lapse between the ignition-on from the ignition-off time point is then calculated along with the reduced pressure corresponding to the time lapse due to the time lapse. As a result, a value obtained by subtracting the reduced pressure from the remaining pressure of the hydraulic pressure sensor is set and applied as the offset of the hydraulic pressure sensor.

Apparatus and method for controlling clutch slip of hybrid vehicle

A hydraulic pressure instruction-learning apparatus of a hybrid vehicle includes a power source including an engine and a motor. The engine clutch is disposed between the engine and the motor. The vehicle controller is configured to output a hydraulic pressure instruction to control engagement/disengagement of the engine clutch. The vehicle controller compares output performance of the engine clutch with predetermined dynamic target performance in a launch control, extracts a performance error function if a difference therebetween exceeds a predetermined allowable error range, and corrects the output performance of the engine clutch, such that the output performance falls within the predetermined allowable error range and is stored as a learned value.
