A method of controlling an operation of a cordless vacuum cleaner includes storing information about predefined movement patterns corresponding to a plurality of control commands in a memory of the cordless vacuum cleaner, in response to detecting that docking or charging of the cordless vacuum cleaner on a station device is terminated, detecting at least one movement pattern among the predefined movement patterns by analyzing movement information obtained via at least one motion sensor, identifying at least one control command corresponding to the detected at least one movement pattern, and controlling an operation of the cordless vacuum cleaner based on the identified at least one control command.

A cleaning device including a suction motor; a suction head including a suction port; a rotatable brush inside the suction head; a brush motor; a pressure sensor; a memory storing coefficient tables including coefficients of a hyperplane equation for determining a type of surface to be cleaned; and a controller. The controller is configured to, in a first state with the suction head separated from the surface, select a reference coefficient table corresponding to a first suction pressure and a first load of the brush motor, in a second state with the suction head in contact with the surface, identify a type of the surface based on a second suction pressure, a second load of the brush motor, and the reference coefficient table, and adjust an output of the suction motor and/or the brush motor based on the identified type of the surface to be cleaned.

Cleaning device and control method thereof

An operating method of a station device for discharging dust from a cordless vacuum cleaner includes detecting occurrence of an event requesting discharging dust from a dustbin included in the cordless vacuum cleaner to the station device, and performing a dust discharge operation for discharging dust in the dustbin to a collector of the station device based on detecting of the occurrence of the event. The performing a dust discharge operation includes transmitting, to the cordless vacuum cleaner via short-range wireless communication, a control signal for operating a first suction motor of the cordless vacuum cleaner, and operating a second suction motor of the station device in cooperation with the first suction motor.

Station device and operating method of station device

A cleaning device and a method therefor are provided. The cleaning device includes a vacuum cleaner including a dust collecting container and a docking station to which the dust collecting container is coupled. The docking station includes a suction device configured to move air from the dust collecting container to inside of the docking station, a collector configured to collect a foreign substance that is moved together with the air by driving of the suction device, a suction flow path along which air moves inside the docking station, a flow adjusting device configured to open or close the suction flow path, and at least one processor configured to control the suction device to operate based on the dust collecting container being coupled to the docking station, and control the flow adjusting device to periodically open and close the suction flow path in a state in which the suction device operates.
