Provided are a bit flipping device and method and a computer readable program for the same. The bit flipping device for input data having a two-dimensional array pattern includes: a clustering unit configured to generate at least one input data sequence based on the two-dimensional array pattern of the input data and classify the input data sequence into at least one cluster according to a preset method; and a bit flipping unit configured to perform bit flipping on erroneous bits in the input data sequence based on the classified cluster. Therefore, it is possible to further reduce inefficiency while further reducing system complexity compared to the existing error correction code-based bit flipping method by coupling the bit flipping device to an output side of a partial response maximum likelihood (PRML) detector to classify an output value of the PRML detector into at least one cluster and perform bit flipping based on the classified result.

The signal detection method of staggered two-dimensional bit-patterned media includes the down-track detection step, which detects a signal through a horizontal direction (x) path along the down-track, the first cross-track detection step, which detects a signal through a first vertical direction (z) path that allows for passing through of a plurality of pixels arranged on a same line along cross-track perpendicular to the down-track and a plurality of pixels arranged in a staggered manner toward the horizontal direction (x) path with respect to the cross-track, and the second cross-track detection step, which detects a signal through a second vertical direction (z) path that allows for passing through of a plurality of pixels arranged on a same line along the cross-track and a plurality of pixels arranged in a staggered manner toward an opposite path to the horizontal direction (x) path with respect to the cross-track.

A two-dimensional interleaving method is provided. The two-dimensional interleaving method includes dividing a first page having N&#xd7;Npixels, N being a natural number, into a plurality of blocks, wherein each of the plurality of blocks includes N&#xd7;N pixels, rearranging each of the plurality of the blocks of the first page into a second page, wherein each of two index located at same position in two adjacent block of the first page, respectively, is rearranged to have at least a dispersion distance D in the second page, and relocating an index pixel located at same position of each of the plurality of the blocks of the first page into a k-th block of the second page.

A reception terminal and a method for compensating for inter-symbol interference (ISI) in a two-dimensional (2D) data structure are provided. The method for compensating for ISI includes transmitting, from a transmission terminal, a plurality of source pixel values based on a source 2D data structure via a channel, receiving, at a reception terminal, a plurality of pixel values for compensation based on a 2D data structure, and compensating each of the plurality of pixel values for compensation to each of corresponding pixel values after compensation. The plurality of pixel values for compensation are changed values of the pixel values of the source pixels due to the ISI, and each of the pixel values after compensation is determined based on both of each of the pixel values for compensation and values of adjacent pixels thereof.

The display module includes a liquid crystal display panel configured to output a color per pixel, a backlight unit configured to uniformly project light to a rear side of liquid crystal display panel, a backlight unit having a light guide plate and a light source, a mold located at a perimeter of the liquid crystal display panel and a perimeter of the backlight unit, and a light cutoff part configured to cut off path of light incident on a front of the liquid crystal display panel from a side of the liquid crystal display panel. Accordingly, light leakage caused by light incident on lateral side of liquid crystal display panel by being reflected by mold or light reflected by lateral side of liquid crystal display panel is minimized to output more clear and vivid images.
