A display apparatus includes a display panel, a backlight unit, and an accommodation member for accommodating the display panel and the backlight unit. The accommodation member includes a bottom part defining a bottom surface of the accommodation member, and a plurality of side surface parts which is connected to the bottom part and defines side surfaces of the accommodation member, in which a position where the side surface parts are connected to the bottom part varies based on sizes of the display panel and the backlight unit.

Display apparatus

A backlight unit includes a bottom cover, a light source, a middle mold, a diffusion plate and an optical sheet. The bottom cover defines a bottom portion and a sidewall portion which is protruded from the bottom portion. The light source is accommodated in the bottom cover. The middle mold is supported by the bottom cover and defines a horizontal supporting portion and a distance maintaining portion extending from a first end of the horizontal supporting portion in a direction perpendicular to the bottom portion. The diffusion plate overlaps the horizontal supporting portion. The optical sheet overlaps the distance maintaining portion and is spaced apart from the diffusion plate.

A display device includes a display panel, a backlight unit, a support member, a protection member and a spacing member. The backlight unit includes a printed circuit board on which light emitting blocks are mounted and a light guide. The spacing member presses the printed circuit board against the support member and uniformly maintains spaces between light output surfaces of the light emitting blocks and a light input surface of the light guide.
