A display panel can include first, second and third subpixels on a substrate; an overcoat layer in the first, second and third subpixels; a concave area and a convex area in the overcoat layer in at least one of the first, second and third subpixels, the concave area being connected to the convex area through a first inclined surface of the overcoat layer; first, second and third anode electrodes corresponding to the first, second and third subpixels, respectively, at least one of the first, second and third anode electrodes includes a second inclined surface overlapping with the first inclined surface of the overcoat layer; first, second and third organic light emitting layers on the first, second and third anode electrodes, respectively; and a bank layer on the overcoat layer, the bank layer including a third inclined surface, at least one of the first, second and third inclined surfaces reflects light.

Display panel with configuration for enhanced luminance efficiency

The present disclosure relates to a display panel. More specifically, the display panel is configured to surround an opening area, includes a reflective electrode including an inclined surface, and therefore provides increased luminous efficiency.

A display device, such an organic light emitting display device is disclosed. The display device includes an insulating film including a concave portion in an area of at least one subpixel, a first electrode on a side portion of the concave portion and on the concave portion in an area of the subpixel, an organic layer overlapping the concave portion and on the first electrode. An organic layer disposed in the at least one blue subpixel may include at least one of a first light emitting dopant with a maximum emission wavelength of 457 nm or less, a second light emitting dopant with a full width at half maximum (FWHM) of 30 nm or less, and/or a third light emitting dopant with the maximum emission wavelength of 457 nm or less and the full width at half maximum of 30 nm or less. Thus, a display device with enhanced light extraction efficiency is provided.

Organic light emitting display panel and organic light emitting display device including the same

A display panel and an organic light emitting display device with enhanced light extraction efficiency is described. The display panel and the display device include an insulating film including at least one concave portion, a first electrode disposed to cover the concave portion, a bank including a first part on the first electrode and overlapping a part of the flat portion of the concave portion, a second part extending from the first part and overlapping an inclined portion of the concave portion, and a third part extending from the second part and disposed on the side portion, an organic layer overlapping the concave portion, and a second electrode on the organic layer and the bank. A width of the first part of the bank is wider than a width of the second part of the bank. Thus, it is possible to provide a display device with enhanced light extraction efficiency.

The present disclosure relates to display panels and display devices including the display panels, and more for example, to a display panel with excellent luminance and a display device including the display panel, by including an insulating film having an inclined portion with a high-inclined portion.

Display panel with improved luminance or efficiency and display device comprising the same

A display panel can include a substrate including first, second and third subpixels; an overcoat layer including a first inclined surface in at least one of the first, second and third subpixels; first, second and third anode electrodes corresponding to the first, second and third subpixels, respectively, wherein at least one of the first, second and third anode electrodes includes a second inclined surface overlapping with the first inclined surface of the overcoat layer; first, second and third organic light emitting layers disposed on the first, second and third anode electrodes, respectively; and a bank layer disposed on the overcoat layer, the bank layer including a third inclined surface overlapping with both the first and second inclined surfaces of the overcoat layer and the at least one of the first, second and third anode electrodes, in which at least one of the first, second and third inclined surfaces is configured to reflect light emitted from a corresponding one of the first, second and third organic light emitting layers.

A display device, such an organic light emitting display device is disclosed. The display device includes an insulating film including a concave portion in an area of at least one subpixel, a first electrode on a side portion of the concave portion and on the concave portion in an area of the subpixel, an organic layer overlapping the concave portion and on the first electrode. Provided is a flat panel display. A flat panel display includes: a lower panel defining a display area and a non-display area, a driver element and a line within the non-display area, a planar layer covering the lower panel, a first trench at the planar layer over the driver element and the line, a lower alignment layer on an upper surface of the planar layer and a lower surface of the first trench, the lower alignment layer exposing some upper surface of the planar layer at the first trench, and a sealant at the first trench.
