A window includes a window layer that includes a first section, a second section, and a folding section that is disposed between the first section and the second section and is foldable with respect to a folding axis extending in a direction. The folding section includes at least one opening pattern, and in a plan view, a maximum distance between two points on an inner line of the folding section that defines the at least one opening pattern is about 10 micrometers to about 200 micrometers.

Window and display device including same

A window includes a first folding portion foldable about a first folding axis extended in a first direction, and including upper and lower surfaces facing each other, and a second folding portion foldable about a second folding axis extended in a second direction crossing the first direction, including the upper and lower surfaces, and including a portion of the first folding portion. First upper grooves extended in the first direction and recessed from the upper surface and first lower grooves extended in the first direction and recessed from the lower surface are defined in the first folding portion, and second upper grooves extended in the second direction and recessed from the upper surface and second lower grooves extended in the second direction and recessed from the lower surface are defined in the second folding portion. The portion is defined as a crossing portion in which the grooves are defined.

A foldable display device includes a window. The window includes a first sub window, a second sub window, and an adhesive layer for coupling the first sub window and the second sub window to each other. The first sub window includes a first base layer having light transmittance of 90% or more and a first anti-fingerprint layer disposed on an upper surface of the first base layer, and the second sub window includes a second base layer disposed on the first sub window. A contact angle of a folding area of an upper surface of the first sub window is less than a contact angle of a peripheral area of the upper surface of the first sub window.

Glass window and display device including the same

A display device includes a folding area foldable about a folding axis and a non-folding area proximate to the folding area. The display device includes a display module that displays an image and a glass window that is disposed over the display module that includes a patterned glass. The patterned glass includes a pattern portion including a groove pattern provided on one surface of the patterned glass to correspond to the folding area and a non-pattern portion disposed adjacent to the pattern portion to correspond to the folding area. The pattern portion has a thickness that is smaller than or equal to one-half a thickness of the non-pattern portion.

A window includes: a folding part foldable around a virtual folding axis extending in a first direction, and first and second non-folding parts spaced apart from each other in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction with the folding part therebetween. A window includes a folding portion foldable with respect to an imaginary folding axis extending in a first direction, a first non-folding portion, and a second non-folding portion spaced apart from the first non-folding portion in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction with the folding portion interposed therebetween. The folding portion includes a base portion and a plurality of protrusion portions disposed on the base portion and spaced apart from each other in the second direction. A width, in the first direction, of the folding portion is smaller than a width, in the first direction, of each of the first non-folding portion and the second non-folding portion.

Provided is a window including a glass substrate, an impact absorbing layer disposed on the glass substrate and having a first storage modulus, and at least one coating layer disposed on at least one of top and bottom surfaces of the impact absorbing layer, respectively, and having a second storage modulus that is greater than the first storage modulus, wherein a ratio between a first thickness of the impact absorbing layer and a second thickness of at least one of the at least one coating layer is about 1:0.0002 to about 1:0.05.
