The display panel comprises a display area which has a flat portion and a bending portion. The color compensation part compensates for input data signals by applying data gains which are set differently for the flat portion and the bending portion.

An organic light-emitting display device and a method for driving the same are provided. The organic light-emitting display device analyzes input image data in unit of a window mask to detect a halftone data block, adjusts a voltage corresponding to grayscale 0 of center data disposed at the center of the halftone data block to a voltage higher than 0V, and adjusts the voltage corresponding to grayscale 0 in a data block other than the halftone data block to 0V, such that a data voltage swing width at low grayscales can be reduced so as to prevent voltage drop in pixels, thereby improving picture quality.

A stereoscopic image display and a method of driving the same are disclosed. The stereoscopic image display includes shutter glasses including a left eye shutter and a right eye shutter that are alternately turned on and off in synchronization with a display device, a backlight unit that irradiates light to the display device and is periodically turned on and off, a controller that divides a first frame period into a first address period and a first vertical blanking period, divides a second frame period into a second address period and a second vertical blanking period, and controls so that durations of the first vertical blanking period and the second vertical blanking period are different from each other, and a driving circuit that supplies data to the display device during the first and second address periods under the control of the controller.

Stereoscopic image display and driving method thereof

An image display device is discussed. The image display device includes a display panel configured to selectively display a 2D image and a 3D image and a patterned retarder disposed line by line. The patterned retarder includes a first retarder transmitting only a left eye image of the 3D image from the display panel and a second retarder transmitting only a right eye image of the 3D image. Pixels disposed on the display panel alternately display the 3D image and a black image every one horizontal line in an interlace manner through a time division.

A display device and a contrast enhancement method thereof are disclosed. The display device includes a display panel on which data lines and gate lines are positioned, a data driving circuit for driving the data lines, a scan driving circuit for driving the gate lines, a timing controller for controlling the data driving circuit and the scan driving circuit, and a data modulation circuit including a local modulation circuit and a global modulation circuit. The local modulation circuit maps luminance components of input digital video data to a luminance transfer curve selected or generated for each pixel based on an average picture level (APL) of each pixel and performs a first modulation on the luminance components of the input digital video data so as to expand a gray level distribution of a specific portion of an input image.
