A liquid crystal display device and its fabricating method are discussed. According to an embodiment, the liquid crystal display at least one signal line disposed in a display area and extending to a non-display area located outside the display area, a common line crossing the signal line in the non-display area, at least one static electricity preventing element connected between the common line and the signal line in the non-display area, and at least one static electricity preventing auxiliary electrode projected towards the signal line from the static electricity preventing element in the non-display area.

Liquid crystal display and fabricating method thereof

A LOG-type liquid crystal display panel and a fabricating method thereof that reduces a line resistance of a LOG-type signal line group within the confined area. In the panel, a picture display part has a plurality of liquid crystal cells, each of which is arranged at each crossing area between gate lines and data lines. Line on glass type signal lines are provided at an outer area of the picture display part by a line on glass system to apply driving signals required for driver integrated circuits for driving the gate lines and the data lines and to connect the driver integrated circuits to each other. The line on glass type signal lines are separately provided at different metal layers having an insulating film therebetween.

Liquid crystal display panel of line on glass type and method of fabricating the same

A pad structure of a liquid crystal display (LCD) device and a fabrication method thereof are provided. The pad structure of the LCD device includes: a bottom electrode formed with a predetermined area at one edge side of each of signal lines formed on an array substrate; an insulation layer formed over the bottom electrode; a contact hole for exposing the bottom electrode, the contact hole formed as a predetermined portion of the insulation layer is etched; and a terminal electrode formed over the contact hole, thereby being connected with the bottom electrode, wherein the bottom electrode is formed in a dual structure including an aluminum alloy layer using AlNd and a molybdenum (Mo) layer and a thickness of the Mo layer is greater than at least about one quarter of the thickness of the aluminum alloy layer formed beneath the Mo layer.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a LOG-type liquid crystal display panel and a fabricating method that is adaptive for reducing a line resistance of a LOG-type signal line group within the confined area. A LOG-type liquid crystal display panel according to one aspect of the present invention includes a picture display part having a plurality of liquid crystal cells, each of which is arranged at each intersection area between gate lines and data lines; and line on glass type signal lines, being provided at an outer area of the picture display part by a line on glass system, for applying driving signals required for drive integrated circuits for driving the gate lines and the data lines, wherein said any one signal line of the line on glass type signal lines is provided by different metal layers formed between the insulating films and connected with each other in parallel.

A liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The device and method increase contact stability by forming a contact hole exposing the lateral and upper surfaces of a metal layer using a diffraction mask. The device includes a lower metal layer on a substrate; a passivation layer on the substrate including the lower metal layer; a contact hole on the passivation layer so as to expose the lateral and upper surfaces of the lower metal layer; and an upper metal layer in the contact hole and over the passivation layer, and in contact with the exposed lateral and upper surface of the lower metal layer.
