An array substrate includes a gate line, a data line, a pixel electrode, a first thin film transistor, and a second thin film transistor. The gate line includes a plurality of sub lines receiving a gate signal. The data line crosses the gate line. The pixel electrode is between adjacent sub lines. The first thin film transistor is electrically connected to a first sub line of the adjacent sub lines, the pixel electrode, and the data line. The second thin film transistor is electrically connected to a second sub line of the adjacent sub lines, the pixel electrode, and the data line. Therefore, an image display quality is improved.

Array substrate, display panel and display device having the same, and method thereof

A display device is provided. The display device includes: a substrate including a unit display area, a fixing member that is formed on the substrate and that is electrically isolated, an insulating layer that is formed on the fixing member, a fixing electrode that is formed on the insulating layer and that is electrically connected to a power source, and a plurality of moving members with one end fixed to the insulating layer and positioned apart by a distance from the fixing electrode. The plurality of moving members and the fixing electrode are positioned within the unit display area.

A thin film transistor array panel includes a gate line formed on a substrate, an interlayer insulating film formed on the gate line and having an opening, a gate insulator formed in the opening, a data line formed on the interlayer insulating film and including a first conductive layer made of a transparent conductive oxide and a second conductive layer made of a metal, a source electrode connected to the data line and made of a transparent conductive oxide, a drain electrode facing the source electrode and made of a transparent conductive oxide, a pixel electrode connected to the drain electrode, and an organic semiconductor contacting the source electrode and the drain electrode.

Thin film transistor array panel and method of manufacture

A display apparatus according to an embodiment includes a first substrate including a plastic material, a second substrate facing the first substrate, and a coating layer formed on at least one surface of the first substrate. The coating layer includes a first compound having an acryl-based monomer and a second compound having a silicon derivative, and prevents reflection of light from the first substrate when light is provided to the first substrate. Thus, the display apparatus may have enhanced lightness (brightness) thereby improving the display quality.

A display substrate includes an insulation substrate, a gate line formed on the insulation substrate, a data line formed on the insulation substrate and crossing the gate line, a switching element formed on the insulation substrate and electrically connected to the gate line and the data line, and a pixel electrode formed on the insulation substrate. The pixel electrode is electrically connected to the switching element and includes a reflective electrode layer which reflects light and an absorption electrode layer which absorbs light.

An LCD apparatus displays a color image of a frame divided into a plurality of periods in which different colors are displayed. The LCD apparatus includes an LCD panel and a number of light-emitting units. The LCD panel includes a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines crossing the plurality of the gate lines. A liquid crystal display (LCD) apparatus includes an LCD panel and light-emitting units. The light-emitting units generate lights in a corresponding light-emitting interval to illuminate a part of the LCD panel corresponding to the light-emitting units. A light-emitting ending point of the light-emitting interval is disposed between a first maximum light-transmitting time of a first region of the part of the LCD panel and a second maximum light-transmitting time of a second region of the part of the LCD panel, the first region corresponding to the first gate line of gate lines belonging to the part of the LCD panel illuminated by the light-emitting unit and the second region corresponding to the last gate line of the gate lines.

Liquid crystal display apparatus and method of driving

The present invention relates to a display device including a substrate having a display area, a first electrode disposed on the substrate to receive a first voltage, a second electrode disposed on the substrate to receive a second voltage having an opposite polarity to that of the first voltage, an insulating layer disposed on the first electrode and the second electrode, and an isolated member disposed on the insulating layer and electrically isolated, wherein an induction charge is generated in the isolated member by application of the first voltage and the second voltage, and wherein light transmittance is controlled according to the application of the first and second voltages.

A liquid crystal display (LCD) apparatus time-divides a frame into a plurality of fields, in which lights having a color different from each other, are generated. The LCD apparatus includes a backlight unit. The backlight unit includes n of light-generating units sequentially generating the lights in the fields. An initial light-generating time of an nth light-generating unit being delayed by a predetermined time gap relative to the (n&#x2212;1)th light-generating unit so that each of the fields includes a first period, in which one of the lights is generated, and a second period, in which at least two of the lights are generated. The light-generating units generate a peak light having a peak intensity in the first period. Thus, the intensity of light or the time period for which the light is generated, is controlled so that color mixing is minimized and color purity is improved.

An electrophoretic display includes a thin film transistor formed on an insulation substrate, a pixel electrode electrically connected to the thin film transistor, a partitioning wall partitioning the pixel electrode, an ink formed on the pixel electrode exposed between sections of the partitioning wall and in which an electrophoretic member is dispersed, and a common electrode panel formed on the ink and the partitioning wall and having a common electrode.
