Provided are an apparatus and method for measuring a dielectric constant. The apparatus includes a cavity resonator including a cavity therein, an insertion hole penetrating through the cavity vertically and in which a sample is inserted, and grooves symmetrically formed with respect to the cavity in the insertion hole, a network analyzer configured to generate an electromagnetic signal supplied to the cavity resonator, receive an electromagnetic signal passed through the cavity resonator, and calculate a scattering parameter, a transmission means configured to supply the generated electromagnetic signal to the cavity resonator, a reception means configured to supply the electromagnetic signal passed through the cavity resonator to the network analyzer, and a calculation processor configured to receive the scattering parameter from the network analyzer and calculate a dielectric constant of the sample.

Apparatus and method for measuring dielectric constant

An antenna apparatus that may be adapted to various environments. The antenna apparatus includes a radiation unit to transmit and receive in a 360&#xb0; radius including a plurality of radiators, each radiator configured to radiate a main emission pattern in different direction; and a switch unit configured to selectively operate each of the plurality of radiators.

The present invention provides an multi-layered multi-band antenna used for a communication apparatus for a mobile communication service, comprising: a PCB having power supply and ground portions; an upper plane antenna separated from an upper plane of the PCB, the upper plane antenna consisting of a metal conductor having a predetermined pattern formed with a U-shaped slot; an intermediate plane antenna interposed between the upper plane antenna and the PCB in parallel with the upper plane antenna, the intermediate plane antenna consisting of a metal conductor having a predetermined pattern formed with a U-shaped slot; a power supply metal conductor having the one side connected to a power supply portion of the PCB and the other side connected to one side of the intermediate plane antenna; a ground metal conductor having the one side connected to a ground portion of the PCB and the other side connected to one side of the intermediate plane antenna; and a plurality of short-circuiting metal conductors interposed between the upper and intermediate plane antennas to short-circuiting the upper and intermediate plane antennas.

Multi-layered multi-band antenna

An internal antenna for use in a mobile handset is formed of a single conductive plate. The internal antenna includes a first meander-shaped portion having one or more slots, including a first bent portion bent downward at a side edge of the first meander-shaped portion; a second meander-shaped portion having one or more slots, including a second bent portion bent downward at an end of the second meander-shaped portion; and a common portion physically connected to the first and the second meander-shaped portion. The first meander-shaped portion together with the common portion forms a first radiating element and the second meander-shaped portion together with the common portion forms a second radiating element, the first radiating element having a first resonant frequency and the second radiating element having a second resonant frequency.
