Provided are a method and an accessory apparatus for receiving and reproducing DMB data. The DMB accessory apparatus receives DMB data, converts data formats of the received DMB data into multimedia data formats which can be reproduced by a typical mobile terminal, and transmits the DMB data converted into the mobile terminal reproducible data formats to the mobile terminal. Accordingly, even a mobile terminal, which does not have a function of receiving and reproducing DMB data, can reproduce the DMB data.

Disclosed is an apparatus and a method for receiving and playing Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) data using a DMB package and a mobile terminal. The DMB package is separable from the mobile terminal and can be interfaced with the mobile terminal. The apparatus includes DMB package for receiving DMB data, converting data formats of the received DMB data into multimedia data formats which can be reproduced by the typical mobile terminal, and transmitting the DMB data converted into the mobile terminal reproducible data formats to the mobile terminal. There is provided a cathode-ray tube including an envelope having a neck, a funnel and a panel fused to the funnel by using frit glass, the outside of the panel being near flat, the inside of the panel having a predetermined curvature, in which 1.7&lE;T /T &lE;2.3 when T is the thickness of the center of the panel and T is the thickness of the diagonal corner of the panel, and a panel inside tensile stress at the fused portion of the panel and funnel is less than &minus;1.3876x&plus;128.24 (Kgf/cm ) when the size of the effective picture area of the cathode-ray tube is x(unit: cm). The panel inside tensile stress at the fused portion of the panel and funnel is maintained below a predetermined value to mitigate breakage inside the furnaces that occurs when the cathode-ray tube having the panel whose outside is near flat and whose inside has a predetermined curvature is reproduced, thereby improving the salvage rate.
