An LED display apparatus according to one exemplary embodiment is disclosed. The LED display apparatus may include: a first LED substrate in which a plurality of LED elements capable of emitting a first-wavelength light are arranged in rows and columns; a second LED substrate in which a plurality of LED elements capable of emitting a second-wavelength light are arranged, the second LED substrate being provided on the first LED substrate and having a first light transmitting portion formed by punching a partial region of the second LED substrate; and a third LED substrate which is provided on the second LED substrate and in which a plurality of LED elements capable of emitting a third-wavelength light are arranged, the third LED substrate being provided on the second LED substrate and having a second light transmitting portion formed by punching a partial region of the third LED substrate.

LED display device

An improved lighting apparatus is disclosed. The lighting apparatus includes a direct current power supply unit, a light emitting unit operating in response to a direct current voltage applied from the direct current power supply unit, and a voltage control unit located between the direct current power supply unit and the light emitting unit to control the level of a voltage applied from the direct current power supply unit to the light emitting unit. The light emitting unit includes first light emitting groups having a first correlated color temperature and being turned on at a first turn-on voltage (V) or above and second light emitting groups having a second correlated color temperature and being turned on at a second turn-on voltage (V) greater than the first turn-on voltage. The first light emitting groups are connected in parallel with the second light emitting groups. The voltage control unit includes at least one variable resistor to control the level of the voltage applied to the light emitting unit such that the second light emitting groups emit light or are prevented from emitting light, achieving a desired correlated color temperature according to a preset proportion.

An improved lighting apparatus includes a direct current power supply unit, a light emitting unit, and a voltage control unit located between the direct current power supply unit and the light emitting unit to control a level of a voltage applied from the direct current power supply unit to the light emitting unit. Exemplary embodiments of the present invention disclose an alternating current (AC) light emitting diode (LED) lighting apparatus including a rectification unit configured to receive an AC voltage and output a DC rectified voltage, an LED unit connected to the rectification unit, the LED unit comprising at least two light emitting groups, each light emitting group comprising at least one LED, and an LED driving control unit connected to the rectification unit, the LED driving control unit configured to establish a series or parallel connection between the light emitting groups, by comparing a voltage level of the rectified voltage with a reference voltage. The LED driving control unit is configured to calculate a reference voltage adjustment value in order to compensate for a signal processing delay of the LED driving control unit.

AC LED lighting apparatus using voltage edge detector

An AC LED lighting apparatus using a voltage edge detector is provided. The AC LED lighting apparatus includes: a rectification unit configured to rectify an AC voltage to output a DC rectified voltage; an LED unit including a first light emitting group and a second light emitting group each including at least one LED; and an LED driving control unit configured to control a serial/parallel connection relationship between the first light emitting group and the second light emitting group by comparing a voltage level of the rectified voltage input from the rectification unit with a reference voltage. The LED driving control unit sets the reference voltage by detecting a slope of the rectified voltage and simultaneously detecting the voltage level of the rectified voltage and the detected slope of the rectified voltage.

An optical semiconductor lighting apparatus including: a substrate in which a single LED chip or a plurality of LED chips are disposed; a first mold portion disposed on the substrate to cover the plurality of LED chips; and a second mold portion extending from an edge of the first mold portion and disposed on the substrate. The respective LED chips can improve adhesive strength with respect to the substrate through the first and second mold portions. Peeling, surface cracking and damage caused by moisture permeation can be prevented by the first and second mold portions. A fluorescent material included in the second mold portion can improve a wavelength conversion rate.

Optical semiconductor lighting apparatus

A light emitting module according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes a printed circuit board (PCB) and first through m-th lighting blocks ('m' is an integer greater than one). The PCB has wiring patterns electrically connecting optical semiconductor devices. The first through the m-th lighting blocks are disposed on the PCB and configured to generate light. Each of the first through the m-th lighting blocks includes first through n-th lighting groups (each block includes at least one group), each of which includes optical semiconductor devices disposed on the PCB, and an electric currents configured to flow through each lighting group is substantially the same.

Embodiments of the invention provide AC LED lighting apparatuses. The AC LED lighting apparatuses may increase luminous flux and provide optimal efficiency through novel arrangement of a plurality of light emitting blocks on a circuit board and a plurality of LEDs and drive ICs included in each of the light emitting blocks to be sequentially driven, and/or through efficient series-parallel connection between a limited number of LEDs.

AC LED lighting apparatus

A second heat sinking path is formed along an edge of the light emitting module. The LED lighting apparatus includes: a rectification block; an LED block including a first light emitting group and a second light emitting group; a charging/discharging block configured to charge electric charges in a charging period, and discharge electric charges in a discharging period; a driving control unit configured to determine a voltage level of a rectified voltage, controls a path selection switch to connect the rectification block to the LED block and controls the charging/discharging block to charge electric charges in the charging period, and controls the path selection switch to connect the rectification block to a ground and controls the charging/discharging block to discharge electric charges from the charging/discharging block to the LED block in the discharging period; and a path selection switch configured to connect the rectification block to the LED block in the charging period, and connect the rectification block to the ground in the discharging period.
