A rotary compressor is provided that may include a cylinder; a chamber eccentrically formed in the cylinder and accommodating a predetermined working fluid; a rotor rotatably received in the chamber and arranged so as to be concentric to the cylinder; first and second bearings disposed on upper and lower portions, respectively, of the cylinder so as to close the chamber, and which support a drive shaft of the rotor; a plurality of vanes movably installed on the rotor in a radial direction thereof, and protruding from the rotor up to an inner circumferential surface of the cylinder so as to divide the chamber into a plurality of compression spaces; first and second guide grooves which, in order to accommodate a portion of the vanes, are formed on respective surfaces, facing the chamber, of the first and second bearings so as to be concentric to the chamber, and guide the plurality of vanes while the rotor is rotating so that the plurality of vanes continuously protrude up to the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder; and an auxiliary bearing which is provided in at least one of the first guide groove or the second guide groove and rotating with the plurality of vanes.

Rotary compressor

A scroll compressor is provided that may have a first sealing portion defined between an inner surface of an orbiting wrap and an outer surface of a non-orbiting wrap facing the inner surface of the orbiting wrap in a radial direction, and a second sealing portion defined between an inner surface of the non-orbiting wrap and an outer surface of the orbiting wrap facing the inner surface of the non-orbiting wrap in the radial direction. Further, sealing surfaces where the wraps facing each other are in surface-contact with each other may be formed on at least one of the first sealing portion or the second sealing portion. This may enlarge a sealing area between side surfaces of the wraps facing each other to suppress or prevent leakage of refrigerant suctioned in a compression chamber, thereby improving indicated efficiency and volumetric efficiency.

Scroll compressor

A scroll compressor is provided that may include a first back pressure unit that allows a refrigerant to flow from a first compression chamber to a back pressure chamber while blocking a reverse flow of the refrigerant, and a second back pressure unit that allows the refrigerant to flow from the back pressure chamber to a second compression chamber while blocking a reverse flow of the refrigerant. The first back pressure unit and the second back pressure unit may be spaced apart from each other in a direction that the compression chambers are formed. This may reduce pressure pulsation in the back pressure chamber. Also, leakage between compression chambers may be suppressed and simultaneously friction loss may be reduced by appropriately adjusting the pressure in the back pressure chamber. This is especially advantageous for enhancing compression efficiency under low load operating conditions (or in a low pressure ratio operation).

A scroll compressor is provided that may include first and second variable-capacity units that provide communication between a first intermediate pressure chamber and a low-pressure portion and between a second intermediate pressure chamber and the low-pressure portion. The first variable-capacity unit may include a first variable-capacity passage that communicates with the intermediate pressure chamber, at least one first variable-capacity valve that opens/closes the first variable-capacity passage, and a first variable-capacity opening and closing valve that controls opening/closing of the at least one first variable-capacity valve, and the second variable-capacity unit may include a second variable-capacity passage that communicates with a second intermediate pressure chamber, at least one second variable-capacity valve that opens/closes the second variable-capacity passage, and a second variable-capacity opening and closing valve that controls opening/closing of the at least one second variable-capacity valve.

The present disclosure provides a compressor including a rounded portion surrounding a discharge port, including a cylinder without an oil-blocking structure for ease of shaping the rounded portion, and including a valve-recess cover coupled to the cylinder. At least one valve-recess is defined in an outer face portion of the cylinder. A discharge valve assembly is fixedly received in the valve-recess, wherein the discharge valve assembly is configured for opening and closing the discharge port. The valve-recess is defined between the outer face, primary and secondary side blocks. The rounded portion surrounds the discharge port, to reduce a contact area between the discharge port and the valve assembly.

A rotary compressor includes a cylinder that is coupled to an inner space of a casing and that defines a compression space, a first bearing and a second bearing located at upper and lower sides of the cylinder, a roller disposed eccentrically with respect to an inner circumferential surface of the cylinder to vary a volume of the compression space based on rotation, and a vane inserted into the roller to rotate together with the roller, and drawn out toward the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder during the rotation of the roller to partition the compression space into a plurality of compression chambers. A suction passage communicating with the compression space is defined in the first bearing or the second bearing, and a suction port communicating between the suction passage and the compression space is defined on a side surface of the cylinder.

Rotary compressor with specific suction geometry

A scroll compressor is disclosed. The scroll compressor may include an anti-rotation mechanism provided with an anti-rotation pin and an anti-rotation ring between an orbiting scroll and a scroll support member facing the orbiting scroll, and an axial thickness of the ring body portion constituting the anti-rotation ring may be larger than an axial depth of a ring insertion groove in which the anti-rotation ring is inserted. This can allow the orbiting scroll and a member facing the same to be spaced physically apart without a separate member, to secure a gap for oil to flow, such that the oil can be smoothly supplied between the orbiting scroll and the member, thereby suppressing seizure or/and friction loss between the orbiting scroll and the member.

A vane rotary compressor may include a main bearing and a sub bearing provided with a plurality of back pressure pockets each having a different pressure formed on a surface facing the cylinder, a rotational shaft radially supported by the main bearing and the sub bearing, a roller provided with a back pressure chamber that communicates with the plurality of back pressure pockets and having a plurality of vanes configured to divide a compression space into a plurality of compression chambers. At least one of the main bearing or the sub bearing is provided with an oil supply passage that communicates with a back pressure pocket having a relatively low pressure among the plurality of back pressure pockets. Accordingly, oil may be smoothly supplied to a back pressure pocket having a low pressure.

A hermetic compressor includes a casing, a cylinder in the casing, a first bearing and a second bearing defining a compression space together with the cylinder, a roller located at an eccentric position with respect to an inner surface of the cylinder and configured to vary a volume of the compression space, and a vane inserted into the roller to rotate together with the roller, and drawn out toward the inner surface of the cylinder to divide the compression space into compression chambers. An inlet port in communication with the compression space is defined in the first bearing, and an intermediate plate is located between the cylinder and the inlet port and defines a suction passage connected to the inlet port, where a peripheral length of an inner peripheral surface of the suction passage is greater than a peripheral length of an outer peripheral surface of the suction passage.

A vane rotary compressor includes a roller rotatably supported in a cylinder and including a plurality of vane slots formed along a circumferential direction with back pressure chambers formed at one end of each of the vane slots. A plurality of vanes are slidably supported in the vane slots protruding toward an inner circumferential surface of the cylinder. A compression space formed by the vanes between the roller and the cylinder includes an inlet port and an outlet port formed at both sides of a contact point between the roller and the cylinder. A vane positioned between the inlet port and the outlet port is configured such that a front gap between a front surface of the vane and the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder is smaller than a rear gap between a rear surface of the vane and an inner surface of the back pressure chamber.

Vane rotary compressor

A rotary compressor is provided that may include a rotational shaft, first and second bearings configured to support the rotational shaft in a radial direction, a cylinder disposed between the first and second bearings to form a compression space, a rotor disposed in the compression space to form a contact point forming a predetermined gap with the cylinder and coupled to the rotational shaft to compress a refrigerant as the rotor rotates, and at least one vane slidably inserted into the rotor, the at least one each vane coming into contact with an inner peripheral surface of the cylinder to separate the compression space into a plurality of regions. The at least one vane may include a pin that extends upward or downward, and a lower surface of the first bearing or an upper surface of the second bearing may include a rail groove into which the pin may be inserted.

A rotary compressor may include a rotational shaft, a first bearing and a second bearing each supporting the rotational shaft in a radial direction, a cylinder disposed between the first bearing and the second bearing and forming a compression space, a roller disposed in the compression space to form a contact point spaced at a predetermined interval from the cylinder and coupled to the rotational shaft to compress a refrigerant in response to rotation of the roller, and at least one vane slidably inserted into the roller and in contact with an inner circumferential surface of the cylinder and dividing the compression space into a plurality of compression chambers.

A hermetic compressor is provided that may include a vane that is inserted into a roller, rotates with the roller, and is pushed out toward an inner circumference of a cylinder by rotation of the roller to divide the compression chamber into a plurality of spaces. The vane may include a body having a sealing surface that contacts the inner circumference of the cylinder and inserted into the roller; and a guide that extends from an axial end of the body in a direction crossing a direction the vane slides out, and that is slidably inserted into a guide groove formed on at least one of the first bearing or the second bearing to restrain the vane from sliding out of the roller toward the inner circumference of the cylinder.

A rotary compressor may include a rotational shaft; first and second bearings that support the rotational shaft in a radial direction; a cylinder disposed between the first bearing and the second bearing, and forming a compression space; a rotor forming a contact point, disposed in the compression space, and having a predetermined gap with the cylinder, and coupled to the rotational shaft to compress refrigerant according to rotation; and at least one vane slidably inserted into the rotor, and contacting an inner circumferential surface of the cylinder to separate the compression space into a plurality of regions. Each of the at least one vane may include an upper pin that extends upward, and a lower pin that extends downward, a surface of the first bearing may include a first rail groove into which the upper pin may be inserted, and a first step disposed adjacent to the first rail groove, and a surface of the second bearing may include a second rail groove into which the lower pin may be inserted, and a second step disposed adjacent to the second rail groove.
