Systems and devices for collimating beams of light emitted by a light emitting diode are disclosed. In one embodiment, an optical device comprises a bowl shaped reflector base, a light emitting diode (LED) physically attached to the bowl shaped reflector base, a central reflector in a shape of a hyperbolic cone formed above the LED about a center of the bowl shaped reflector base, and a transparent plate formed around a base of the hyperbolic cone. In the embodiment, the central reflector in the shape of the hyperbolic cone is configured to reflect a portion of light emitted from the LED to an outer edge of the bowl shaped reflector base which in turn substantially reflect the portion of light via the transparent plate almost parallel to an optical axis of the LED.

There is disclosed a lighting apparatus that can light a room intensively, fitted to a characteristic of a room, by adjusting an angle of light distribution and that can prevent glare, with improved optical uniformity and beautiful exterior appearance.

A refrigerator is provided. The refrigerator may include a refrigerator body having at least one storage compartment and an opening, and a main door for opening and closing the storage compartment, the main door also having an opening corresponding to a receiving compartment formed therein. A sub door may be provided to open and close the opening of the main door, and a gasket may be provided along an edge of a rear surface of the sub door to contact a front surface of the main door and seal an interior of the main door when the sub door is closed. A heat transfer member may extend from the inside of a side to the inside of a front surface of the main door.

A lighting apparatus is disclosed. The lighting apparatus may be an omni-directional LED lamp. The lighting apparatus may include a heat sink and a first substrate disposed over the heat sink. A second substrate may be mounted to a connector provided on the first substrate. The second substrate may include at least one LED mounted on a surface of the second substrate. The second substrate may be mounted in the connector such that the surface of the second substrate is positioned at a prescribed angle with respect to the upper surface of the first substrate. Various types of reflectors are disclosed that reflect light in a prescribed angular range with uniform intensity. A bulb may be provided over the heat sink to surround the LEDs. Moreover, a power module may be electrically connected to the connector to provide power to the LEDs.
