A rechargeable battery pack may be used with a protection circuit module in common for serial or parallel connection of unit cells. The rechargeable battery pack may include a plurality of unit cells for forming a rechargeable battery by providing an electrode assembly to a pouch, a protection circuit module electrically connected to the unit cells, and a connector connected to the protection circuit module. The protection circuit module may include a serial protection circuit for electrically connecting the unit cells in series and a parallel protection circuit for electrically connecting the unit cells in parallel.

Rechargeable battery pack

The battery pack that recognizes operation voltage of a corresponding device according to a unique resistance of the connected device and sensed through a third external terminal of the battery pack, the battery pack having a plurality of cells that can be coupled in series or in parallel to be suitable for an operation voltage of the corresponding device. The battery pack can be sold to a consumer to enable the consumer to power a variety of different electrical appliances. Alternatively, the battery pack can be incorporated into a chassis of an electrical apparatus so that the battery pack can be sold to many different manufacturers of electrical appliances.

Battery pack

A protection circuit module (PCM) assembly for use with a battery cell includes a base circuit board on which a plurality of electronic elements are mounted, and a first electrode output terminal formed on the base circuit board. The PCM assembly is to be coupled to a top portion of the battery cell and electrically connected to the first electrode lead and the second electrode lead. The first electrode output terminal is to be directly connected to a first terminal of an external device and to be electrically connected to an electrode terminal of the battery cell to form a first output stage. A second electrode lead at a side of the base circuit board is to be directly connected to a second terminal of the external device and is to be connected to the can or the cap plate to form a second output stage.

PCM assembly and prismatic type secondary battery using the same

A battery pack includes a first bare cell and a second bare cell having positive electrodes electrically connected to each other at a first node and negative electrodes electrically connected to each other at the second node, a first protective device connected between the positive electrode of the first bare cell and the first node, and a protective circuit module electrically connected between the first bare cell and second bare cell.

A holder case for a battery pack is disclosed. The holder case includes two pieces which are selectively engageable so that the length of the holder case can be varied.

The embodiment provides a battery assembly or pack that can fix a coupling tap to an exact position by closely adhering a plurality of bare cells without flowing when the plurality of bare cells are welded with the coupling tap. The battery assembly according to the embodiment includes: a plurality of bare cells that have electrode terminals formed on upper surfaces thereof; an internal frame that receives the plurality of bare cells and has an internal terminal exposing part that exposes the electrode terminals; and a coupling tap that is seated on the internal terminal exposing part of the internal frame to couple the plurality of electrode terminals, wherein a rib hanger that fixes the coupling tap is further formed on the upper of the internal frame. With the constitution as described above, defects of a product are reduced, making it possible to improve productivity.
