Provided are a wireless printing system and method based on wireless Local Area Network (LAN). A method of requesting a wireless printing, includes: requesting a printer that exists in a wireless LAN to perform a print job; and communicating with the printer according to a standard of the wireless LAN in order to transmit data regarding the print job to the printer. The method provides wireless direct printing suitable for a wireless LAN environment.

Method and apparatus of processing wireless printing based on wireless LAN

A wireless printing system and method based on IEEE 802.11 are provided. A method of requesting a print job, includes: scanning a printer that functions as an AP in a wireless LAN; obtaining an address of the printer from the scanned result; and requesting a predetermined print job by having the obtained address as a destination. The method enables to locate a printer that functions as an Access Point (AP) while stations associate with a Basic Service Set (BSS) in a wireless Local Area Network (LAN) based on IEEE 802.11.

A method of providing multimedia data for direct printing and a direct printing method and apparatus are provided. The method of providing multimedia data for direct printing includes composing hyperlink information on image data to be printed by an image supplying apparatus and text using a predetermined markup language, transferring the markup document resulting from the composing to a printing apparatus directly connected with the image supplying apparatus via a predetermined interface for performing a direct printing job, and transferring the image data to the printing apparatus in response to a request from the printing apparatus. When a direct printing job from a photographing apparatus to a printing apparatus is performed, multimedia data including text and an image can be printed.

Method of providing multimedia data for direct printing, direct printing method and apparatus thereof

There are provided a system and a method for printing out image data and text data. The system for printing out image data and text data includes: a mobile device transmitting a document including link information on an image data file, file identification information for identifying the image data file, and text data, and then transmitting the image data file identified by the file identification information; and a printing-out device receiving the document, extracting the file identification information for identifying the image data file linked by the link information, receiving the image data file identified by the extracted file identification information, and printing out the received image data file and the text data.
