An engine cooling system for a vehicle may relate for flowing the coolant from the front side to the rear side based on an arrangement direction of the cylinder and simultaneously cooling the coolant by a cross flow type to flow from an exhaust side to an intake side between each combustion chambers while separating and cooling the coolant flowing through the cylinder block and the cylinder head, maximizing an entire cooling efficiency through a flow control of the coolant and reducing a fuel consumption.

A coolant control valve includes a cam rotating by rotational force; a pivot arm disposed under the cam, one end of the pivot arm moving in an up and down direction by rotation of the cam; a valve installed at another end of the pivot arm and disposed outside an outer diameter of the cam, the valve moving as the pivot arm moves; and a pivot arm support hinge for supporting the pivot arm and enabling vertical movement of the pivot arm when the cam rotates.

Coolant control valve

An engine system includes a cylinder block and a cylinder head. A coolant control valve unit is engaged with the cylinder head to receive a coolant exhausted from the cylinder block and a coolant exhausted from the cylinder head. The coolant control valve unit controls a coolant to be supplied to a heater, a radiator, and an oil cooler and controls the coolant exhausted from the cylinder block. The coolant control valve unit receives the coolant from the cylinder head, supplies the coolant to the oil cooler, and controls the coolant distributed to the heater and the coolant exhausted from the cylinder block.

An engine cooling system for cooling a cylinder head and a cylinder block separately may include a cylinder block having cylinders arranged from a front side to a rear side of an engine with a block water jacket formed therein around the cylinders, a cylinder head fastened to a top side of the cylinder block with a head water jacket formed therein from the front side to the rear side of the engine, a water pump mounted to a front side of the cylinder block for pumping coolant to a front of the block water jacket, and a coolant control valve arranged in a rear side of the cylinder block and the cylinder head to have a first end connected to a rear end of the block water jacket and a second end connected to a rear end of the head water jacket for having the coolant supplied thereto.

A cam carrier assembly may include at least a cam carrier mounted on a cylinder head and including a support, an actuator shaft, a portion of which is mounted in the support and rotatable to control a valve life, and a cap mounted on the cylinder head and coupled to the at least a cam carrier to rotatably support the portion of the actuator shaft and surrounding and rotatably supporting the other portion of the actuator shaft, which is not surrounded by the support.
