An exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler includes: a housing having an exhaust gas inlet and an exhaust gas outlet, a coolant inlet and a coolant outlet, and a plurality of grooves protruding inward from upper and lower surfaces of the housing; a plurality of tubes spaced apart from each other so that exhaust gas flows in the housing; and a plurality of supporters supporting the plurality of tubes in the housing, wherein the plurality of supporters are disposed between an upper surface of the housing and a tube adjacent the upper surface of the housing among the plurality of tubes, between an lower surface of the housing and a tube adjacent the lower surface of the housing among the plurality of tubes, and between the plurality of tubes so that the plurality of supporters are disposed in a space in which the coolant flows inside the housing.

Exhaust gas recirculation cooler

A cooler for a vehicle includes: a cooler housing; tubes disposed inside the cooler housing; cooling pins arranged inside the tubes in a predetermined pattern; and a cup plate attached to both ends of the cooler housing, including a first core material and a first bonding layer bonded at both outer surfaces of the first core material, and having a plurality of slots penetrating the first bonding layer and the first core material in a thickness direction. Each of the tube has an end part penetrating each of the slots and includes a second core material and a second bonding layer that is in contact with an interior surface of the slots, the second bonding layer is in contact with the first bonding layer and the first core material, and the first bonding layer includes a material having a corrosion potential lower than that of the second bonding layer.

A water-cooled EGR cooler apparatus may include tubes in which gas passage is formed, and a tube bonded portion that internally and externally seals is provided, pins disposed at the gas passage of the tubes, and of which one surface contact and are bonded with the tube bonded portion, and supporters disposed between the tubes to form coolant passages and of which one surface contact and are bonded with the tube bonded portion.

Water-cooled EGR cooler, and the manufacturing method thereof

A water-cooled EGR cooler is to be supplied with exhaust gas from an exhaust line and is to re-circulate the cooled exhaust gas to an intake line. A housing has an exhaust inlet, an exhaust outlet, a coolant inlet, and a coolant outlet. A heat exchange member is disposed in the housing and includes exhaust gas passages from the exhaust inlet to the exhaust outlet at a predetermined interval and also includes a coolant passage through which coolant can flow from the coolant inlet to the coolant outlet between the exhaust gas passages. A pipe member includes a bypass passage formed between an upper surface of the heat exchange member and an inside upper surface of the housing to allow the exhaust gas to bypass the heat exchange member and flow between the upper surface of the heat exchange member and the coolant outlet.
