Disclosed is a battery management apparatus capable of effectively reducing the current consumption of a component for waking up a microcontroller unit. The battery management apparatus includes a wake-up unit, a first power supply path, a first regulator, a first switching element, a feedback module, and a microcontroller unit configured to convert a sleep mode to a wake-up mode by receiving a wake-up signal from the wake-up unit and connected to the feedback module to turn off the first switching element.

A battery management system according to the present disclosure is for a battery connected in parallel to a smoothing capacitor through a high side power line and a low side power line. The battery management system includes a discharge control switch connected between a first node and a second node of the low side power line, a temperature sensing circuit including a thermistor, wherein a first terminal of the thermistor is connected to the first node, a precharge switch connected to a precharge power line between a second terminal of the thermistor to the second node, and a control unit. The control unit is configured to turn off the discharge control switch and turn on the precharge switch, for precharging of the smoothing capacitor, when the control unit receives a key-on signal.

The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and method for diagnosing a state of a battery pack, and more particularly, to an apparatus and method for diagnosing a state of a battery pack based on a SOC of a battery module included in the battery pack. According to the present disclosure, since the SOC of the battery module corresponding to an induced abnormal situation is estimated and the state of each battery module is diagnosed based on the estimated SOC, a risk factor that may occur in the battery module may be diagnosed in advance.
