The present disclosure provides a variable valve duration/variable valve lift system including a camshaft in a first cam with a variable relative phase angle with respect to the camshaft, an inner bracket transmitting rotation of the camshaft, a slider housing, a first rocker arm of which a first end contacts the first cam, a rocker shaft connected to the first rocker arm on which hydraulic lines are formed, solenoid valves configured to selectively supply hydraulic pressure through the hydraulic lines, a position controller configured to selectively change a position of the slider housing according to supplied hydraulic pressure from the solenoid valves, a first bridge connected to a second end of the first rocker arm and to which a first valve is connected, and a first valve lift device disposed within the first bridge for changing valve lift of the first valve according to supplied hydraulic pressure from hydraulic lines.

Variable valve duration/variable valve lift system and engine provided with the same

A valve opening and closing apparatus is disclosed having one or a plurality of rocker arms in contact with the cam, such that each of the rocker arms causes a valve to be opened and closed using the rotation of a cam. An eccentricity-creating unit is disposed on the rocker arm, and changes an eccentric position using rotation of a rotary shaft extending through the plurality of rocker arms. A driving unit is connected to the rotary shaft of the eccentricity-creating unit to rotate the rotary shaft.

Valve opening and closing apparatus

A valve opening and closing apparatus includes a rocker arm which is in contact with a cam and causes a valve to be opened and closed using rotation of the cam. In particular, the valve opening and closing apparatus includes an eccentricity-creating unit which is disposed on the rocker arm and changes an eccentric position using rotation. A contact-maintaining unit of the valve opening and closing apparatus is disposed between the rocker arm and the eccentricity-creating unit so as to maintain the contact between the cam and the rocker arm when the cam is rotating.

A valve lash adjuster for vehicles may include a piston having a body and an opening/closing unit. The body has an open surface in a bottom and an oil passage extending from a rocker arm shaft to the open surface, such that oil flows through the oil passage. The opening/closing unit is disposed on the oil passage to selectively open the oil passage depending on a pressure of the oil. A cylinder accommodates the piston. The cylinder slides downward to form an oil chamber between an inner side surface thereof and the piston. The oil chamber contains the oil therein.

Valve lash adjuster for vehicles

A variable valve lift apparatus includes a rocker arm having a rocker arm shaft penetrating therethrough. One portion of the rocker arm is supported by a cam shaft and another portion thereof contacts an upper end of an intake valve or an exhaust valve to open and close the intake valve or the exhaust valve. An actuator is disposed at an end of the rocker arm and protrudes toward the intake valve or the exhaust valve depending on an oil pressure applied to change an opening of the intake valve or the exhaust valve. A control valve applies the oil pressure to the actuator to maintain an opened state of the intake valve or the exhaust valve when the intake valve or the exhaust valve is closed.

Variable valve lift apparatus

An engine brake apparatus may include an exhaust rocker arm having a chamber in which an actuator is slidably inserted, an oil line coupling part which has a central portion extrapolated with an oil line, a communication line communicating with the oil line, a distribution line branched from the communication line and having one portion extending toward a check ball and another portion extending toward a relief valve, a supply line including one portion connected to the check ball and another portion connected to the chamber, and a discharge line including one portion connected to the relief valve and another portion connected to the chamber, wherein the check ball is elastically supported by a check spring in a direction in which the distribution line is closed, and wherein the relief valve is elastically supported by a relief spring in a direction in which the discharge line is opened.

A variable valve lift apparatus may include a rocker arm coupled with a rocker arm shaft, a valve bridge disposed to be pressed by one end portion of the rocker arm, the valve bridge including a piston insertion hole and at least one pin insertion hole connecting to the piston insertion hole, a valve disposed to be pressed by the valve bridge, and a variable lift unit disposed in the valve bridge and variably controlling an amount that the rocker arm presses the valve bridge. The variable lift unit includes a variable piston of which the lower portion is inserted into the piston insertion hole, and a check pin disposed in the pin insertion hole to be selectively inserted into the pin groove formed on a side surface of the variable piston according to the hydraulic pressure supplied to the piston oil passage formed in the variable piston.

An engine brake unit may include a rocker arm having a first space defined in a valve-pressing portion thereof, wherein the first space communicates with a supply passage, through which engine brake oil is introduced, a stopper fixedly provided above the first space of the rocker arm in a predetermined distance, an actuator located inside the first space and having a pressure piston, wherein the pressure piston is selectively raised by hydraulic pressure of the engine brake oil to butt against the stopper, thereby pressing a portion of the rocker arm downwards.

An engine braking system for vehicles may include a rocker shaft having a lubricating oil passage and a braking oil passage, a valve unit selectively supplying part of the oil supplied to the lubricating oil passage, into the braking oil passage, and at least one exhaust rocker arm, into which the rocker shaft is inserted and pivotal about the rocker shaft, wherein the at least one exhaust rocker arm has, therein, a first connection passage communicating with the braking oil passage and a first recess, a stopper fixed above the first recess, and an actuator housed in the first recess and including a pressing piston, wherein the pressing piston moves to contact the stopper by hydraulic pressure of the oil supplied from the braking oil passage into the first recess and thus presses the at least one exhaust rocker arm in a downward direction.

An engine brake unit, may include a rocker shaft having an oil passage to open or close an exhaust valve when an engine braking is in operation, an exhaust rocker arm rotatable about the rocker shaft inserted into the exhaust rocker arm, wherein the exhaust rocker arm includes a supply oil passage communicating with the oil passage and the outside, and a recess connected to the supply oil passage and having an open lower portion, an actuator disposed in the recess of the exhaust rocker arm, wherein the actuator includes a piston that selectively moves downwards through the open lower portion of the recess by oil supplied from the supply oil passage to press the exhaust rocker arm while oil pressure in the oil passage has a predetermined pressure or more, and an oil control valve connected to the oil passage of the rocker shaft and controlling the oil pressure.
