Bonded polymeric film laminates comprising core polymer film layers individually coated on at least one side with a heat fusible polymer layer and fusion bonded together by the application of heat and pressure at a temperature at which each heat fusible polymer coating bonds together adjacent core polymer film layers, where the melting point or softening temperature of the heat fusible polymer is at least 3&#xb0; C. below that of the core layer polymer, and the lamination temperature is at or above the melting point or softening temperature of the heat fusible coating polymer, where the heat fusible polymer coating layers are thinner than the core polymer film layers, where the coated core polymer film layers are uniaxially stretched by 2&#xd7; to 40&#xd7;, and the stretched coated core polymer film layers are cross-plied. Methods for forming the laminates, coated films from which the laminates are formed, and articles formed from the laminates are also disclosed.

Impact-resistant lightweight polymeric laminates

An article of manufacture which has a high resistance to chemicals, solvents, and heat formed from a blend of (A) a polyamide, such as polycaprolactam; (B) a functionalized polyethylene, such as low density polyethylene; and (C) an unfunctionalized low density polyethylene. The blend has a melt viscosity suitable for extrusion into convoluted tubing, nonconvoluted tubing, sheets, films, and the like.

Articles of manufacture comprising extruded polyamide-low density

Molding compositions which are formed by first pre-reacting a thermoplastic polyester polymer or copolymer with a copolymer of ethylene and a glycidyl acrylate or methacrylate and then subsequently blending with a nucleating agent which is a Group I metal salt of a carboxylic acid to increase the crystallization rate of the polyester. At least one reinforcing component such as glass fibers or reinforcing fillers is preferred. The compositions exhibit a good balance of toughness, rigidity and gasoline resistance and are particularly useful for automotive structural parts such as inner door frames, panels, reinforcements, bumper beams, window surrounds, and other metal replacement applications.

A polyamide composition comprising an aliphatic polyamide such as nylon 6 and an oligomeric aromatic polyamide, such as oligomers of poly(tolylene diisophthalamide), which exhibit improved retention flexural modulus and flexural strength at ambient humidity, i.e. about 50% to about 65%.
