The invention provides compositions, each comprising an ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer, which has a reduced level of a low density, low molecular weight oligomeric fraction, as indicated by an HCC value, as described herein, and reduced levels of inorganic content or lower Tm. The invention also provides processes for forming such interpolymers.

Flooding compounds for telecommunications cables. Such flooding compounds contain a polyolefin elastomer and a hydrocarbon oil. The polyolefin elastomer has a crystallinity ranging from 10 less than 50 weight percent and a dynamic viscosity of 50,000 centipoise or less at 177&#xb0; C. The hydrocarbon oil has a kinematic viscosity of 200 centistokes or less at 40&#xb0; C.

Flooding compounds for telecommunication cables

A hot melt adhesive composition includes (A) 20-95 wt % of a polymer component including an ethylene-based polymer and a propylene based polymer, the ethylene-based polymer being present in an amount greater than 30 wt %, based on a total weight of the polymer component, and (B) 1-60 wt % of a crystalline block composite comprising (1) a crystalline ethylene based polymer, (2) a crystalline alpha-olefin based polymer derived from at least one of a C3-10 &#x3b1; olefin, and (3) a block copolymer comprising 10-90 wt % of a crystalline ethylene block comprising 90 or more wt % units derived from ethylene and comprising 10-90 wt % of a crystalline alpha-olefin block comprising 90 or more wt % units derived from at least one of a C3-10 &#x3b1; olefin, (C) Optionally, from greater than zero to 70 wt % tackifier, and (D) Optionally, from greater than zero to 40 wt % of at least one selected from the group of a wax and an oil.

Hot melt adhesive composition including a crystalline block composite

The present disclosure provides a composition. In an embodiment a composition is provided and includes: (A) a carboxylic-functionalized ethylene/a-olefin interpolymer having (i) a density from 0.855 g/cc to 0.895 g/cc; and (ii) a melt viscosity, at 177&#xb0; C., less than, or equal to, 50,000 mPa&#xb7;s; and (B) a propylene-based interpolymer having (i) a density from 0.870 g/cc to 0.890 g/cc; and (ii) a melt viscosity, at 177&#xb0; C., less than, or equal to, 50,000 mPa&#xb7;s.

The branched olefinic fluid has an average of at least 1.5 methine carbons per oligomer molecule and at least 40 methine carbons per one thousand total carbons. Additionally, the average number of carbons per molecule in the branched olefinic fluid is from 25 to 200.

The invention provides a composition comprising the following: A) an anhydride and/or carboxylic acid functionalized ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer having the following properties: i) a melt viscosity (177&#xb0; C.) less than, or equal to, 50,000 cP, ii) MWD from 1.5 to 5, and iii) a density from 0.855 to 0.900 g/cc; B) a tackifier; and C) a wax.

Adhesive compositions containing modified ethylene-based polymers

Adhesive compositions comprising low molecular weight functionalized olefin-based polymers

A hot melt adhesive (HMA) composition includes (A) from 1-60 wt % of a block composite compatibilizer comprising (i) a hard polymer that includes propylene, (ii) a soft polymer that includes ethylene, and (iii) a block copolymer having a soft block and a hard block, the hard block of the block copolymer having the same composition as the hard polymer of the block composite compatibilizer and the soft block of the block copolymer having the same composition as the soft polymer of the block composite compatibilizer; (B) from 1-70 wt % of a tackifier; (C) from 1-40 wt % of at least one selected from the group of a wax and an oil; and (D) Optionally, from greater than zero to 97 wt % of a polymer component that includes an ethylene-based polymer and/or a propylene-based polymer.

Hot melt adhesive composition including a block composite compatibilizer

The present disclosure provides a composition. In an embodiment an adhesive composition is provided and includes A) a propylene based plastomer or elastomer (PBPE) comprising up to 10 wt % units derived from ethylene and having (i) a Koenig B-value less than 1.0; (ii) a total unsaturation per mole of propylene from 0.01% to 0.03%; (iii) a density from 0.870 g/cc to 0.890 g/cc; (iv) a melt viscosity at 177&#xb0; C. from 800 mPa&#xb7;s to 11,000 mPa&#xb7;s; and (v) a weight average molecular weight from 20,000 to 50,000 g/mol; B) a tackifier; and C) a wax.

The invention provides compositions containing at least one functionalized polyolefin, and in particular, to compositions containing at least one functionalized ethylene interpolymer, which has a melt viscosity less than 50,000 cP at 350&#xb0; F. (177&#xb0; C.) and a molecular weight distribution (M/M) from about 1 to 5. The invention also provides adhesive formulations containing the same. The invention also relates to the preparation of the functionalized interpolymers, by reacting, for example, such an ethylene interpolymer with the following: a) at least one unsaturated compound, containing at least one heteroatom, and b) at least one initiator.
