Disclosed is a device for removing residual hydrogen in a fuel cell. The device for removing residual hydrogen in a fuel cell sucks residual hydrogen gas in a fuel cell system and easily removes the sucked hydrogen gas so as to prevent a fire, an explosion, and the like which may occur due to residual hydrogen in the fuel cell system during maintenance work of a fuel cell vehicle. In particular, the device may be manufactured as a simple ejector structure in which a nozzle, a venturi, and a diffuser are sequentially combined, the nozzle and the venturi are combined, and the like to use compressed air as a driving flow and use gas inside a fuel cell system as a suction flow and thus easily remove the residual hydrogen.

Device for removing residual hydrogen in fuel cell

Disclosed are a system and a method for discharging a gas and condensed water for a fuel cell system. The gas and condensed water discharge system comprises: a fuel cell stack that includes cathodes and anodes and produces an electric current by an electrochemical reaction of oxygen and hydrogen; a water trap that temporarily stores gases and water discharged from anodes of the stack and condensed water; an integrated drain valve that is mounted at the water trap so as to generate the gas flow path for gases and the condensed water passing through a discharge portion of the integrated drain valve and discharged out of the water trap; and a controller that discharges the gases and the condensed water by opening and closing the integrated drain valve.

Gas and condensed water discharge system for fuel cell system and control method thereof

A compressed air cooling apparatus of a fuel cell system is provided that includes i) a heat absorber installed at a first part of an air supplying system which supplies compressed air of a first compressed by an air compressor to a fuel cell stack, ii) a heat radiator installed at a second part of a stack cooling system which cools a coolant circulating to the fuel cell stack, iii) a heat pipe which connects the heat absorber and the heat radiator and is filled with the refrigerant therein, wherein the heat absorber is disposed at a lower position than the heat radiator for the refrigerant to flow from the heat radiator to the heat absorber.

Compressed air cooling apparatus of fuel cell system

A fuel cell system with an ejector is provided. In particular, the system includes a stack, fuel injection nozzle and a water injection nozzle. In particular, the stack produces electricity via an electrochemical reaction using fuel and air. The fuel injection nozzle injects fuel into the stack and the water injection nozzle injects water into the fuel injection nozzle. In particular, water is supplied from the water injection nozzle into the fuel injection nozzle due to a vacuum within the fuel injection nozzle.

Fuel cell system having ejector

A fuel cell system having an ejector includes a stack for generating electricity by using air and fuel gas being supplied thereto. A fuel gas circulating line re-circulates the fuel gas from an outlet of the stack to an inlet of the stack. An ejector is mounted to the fuel gas circulating line for supplying fresh fuel gas and circulating the fuel gas. The ejector includes a vacuum suction pipe having one side connected to the fuel gas re-circulating line and a fuel gas spray nozzle mounted to the vacuum suction pipe for spraying the fuel gas to form a vacuum. An inner housing through which the fuel gas sprayed from the fuel gas spray nozzle passes. An outer housing is arranged on an outside of the inner housing to construct a condensed water space with the inner housing. The inner housing drains water from an inside of the inner housing to the condensed water space.

A fuel cell system having a hydrogen supply manifold is provided and includes a stack that uses supplied air and fuel gas to generate electricity. A recirculation line recirculates a fuel gas, to an inlet of the stack. An ejector unit is disposed on the recirculation line, supplies fresh fuel gas, and circulates the recirculated gas. The ejector unit includes a middle pressure manifold in which a nozzle mounting portion is formed and a supply passage to transmit fuel gas to the nozzle mounting portion. A control valve is disposed on the middle pressure manifold to adjust fuel supplied to the stack. A nozzle is engaged with an end portion of the nozzle mounting portion to inject fuel gas supplied through the supply passage. Additionally, a low pressure manifold is engaged with the middle pressure manifold to suction and mix exhaust gas of the stack.
